Stopped by this cozy little Italian bakery and ordered the tiramisu, hands down the best I’ve ever had! They make their ladyfingers from scratch, which gives it that perfect authentic texture, and the coffee flavor is so rich and balanced that every bite felt like heaven. If you’re craving real Italian dessert, this is the spot. We will be coming back for more.

A South Pittsburgh gem! The owner, Dan, is an Italian native with more southern hospitality than most good ole boys down the road. He greeted us with a warm welcome, carefully described each handmade baked good in the storefront and made us feel like friends. We walked out with $100 of his prized desserts and will be back. A MUST stop if you’re even remotely in the area.

I really thought this bakery was larger and had a grand selection. Leg cannolis were not available and the small ones seem to be missing the citrine inside. I drove 35 + miles in hopes of Italian treats.
Hopefully they will expand their offerings and FB the Specials.

What a truly lovely experience! Upon walking in we were greeted by the friendliest owners Dan and Alice. Dan gave us wonderful treatment teaching us how they homemake every cake and pastry in their store. We throughly enjoyed our private taste testing tour through Italy and learning so much! So glad we decided to stop in! We will definitely come back again! I highly recommend their piece of Italy in Tennessee!

I’m not kidding when I say that the tres leches cake loaf is one of the greatest things I’ve ever eaten. You can tell that every detail was done to perfection. This guy is an absolute wizard with food and the friendliest person you could ever meet. The double chocolate biscotti is also delicious. I’ve made it a goal to come back and try every item on his menu.

Alessandro’s is on the main strip in old town. Alessandro showed us around and introduced us to his delicacies. It was obvious that he loved his Northen Italian heritage. He uses several of this grandmother’s recipes. His love for this small town and his passion for high quality baked goods is quite evident. There is a small indoor seating area for you to enjoy your treats.
He carries a nice variety of baked goods as well as other specialty items such as: cinnamon whipped honey, local organic honey, homemade dog treats, dark chocolate covered espresso beans, and cotton candy!
