The ambience was great—warm, cozy, and inviting, making it a nice place to spend the evening. We visited on a Saturday night, so we expected it to be busy. However, even after the crowd started thinning out, the wait time for our food was still quite long, which was a bit disappointing.

When the food arrived, the garlic bread did not meet our expectations, as it lacked the rich garlic flavor we were hoping for. On a positive note, the Alfredo pasta was truly delicious—creamy, well-seasoned, and definitely the highlight of the meal.

Overall, the experience was average. While the ambience and pasta stood out, the service delay and some food items could definitely be improved.

Initially due to the 3.9 stars I was hesitant coming here. We were a group of 7 ladies that brought me here for my birthday dinner. I ordered a made to order calzone. Hands down the BEST calzone I have ever had in my lifetime! Very flavorful, not greasy or soggy, made to perfection!!!!!! All the other in my group loved their food as well. I just had to review them since I have never ever had such an amzing calzone before!!!!

We were greeted by a hostess with a very unhappy face. The staff also walks around with unhappy faces, although our waiter Louis tried to smile and was generally not bad. We liked the cuisine, and all the dishes we ordered were delicious. The service is slow.

The food was pretty good and the atmosphere was decent as well but the waiter was unfriendly and got our order wrong. Nobody wants to eat at a restaurant when you don’t feel welcome. Smile for Pete’s sake.

Came here after a walk on the beach and had a snack. The pizza here is good and appetizing. The calamari was a hit. Really nice place.

Visiting Laguna Beach, you have to try Alessa’s Pirozzi. This was our 3rd or 4th visit, and the food was excellent, as usual. It’s a busy restaurant… and in Laguna Beach, so… we ate outside. Our seating area was very cramped, but the food was worth it. The dessert we took back to the hotel and immediately ate it. Delicious! We will go back again.

The best Italian restaurant in Laguna Beach hands down.

Organic hand made pasta, all sauces fresh, lamb impeccable.

Date night, family night. It is a must go!

Mixed feelings. Food was great, but we came on Saturday evening and it was packed, so waiters were barely managing. We got our appetizers an hour after we sat down. One of 4 orders was wrong (but promptly fixed) and we got the wrong check as well. But we weren’t starving and in good company so it didn’t bother us that much. I think if you aim for a less busy time it will be a fantastic experience.
Parking (little lots and street) is too busy on a weekend as well.

It happens to be my Birthday and I was craving for a good Cioppino for lunch near my area and Alessa came out as my choice to try. Our sever Larissa was amiable and kind enough to deliver my special request to add spaghetti and more sauce for my preferred entree. Sure enough they deliver, it was sumptuously delicious. One of the best if not the best Cioppino I’ve ever had. My compliments to the Chef. I highly recommend and we will sure come back for this dish our next visit to Laguna Beach.

Excellent, authentic Italian food. If Olive Garden is your thing, this is probably NOT the place for you!
