I have tried other Mexican food places on the island, particularly taco trucks in the Honolulu area that get good ratings on Google. (And I’ve been to many places on the mainland so I have a point of comparison.) Alejandros by far has the best tacos on the island. They have really good flavor but most importantly they aren’t greasy
And their portions are generous and beans are fresh. And the staff is friendly in the service is good!
Can’t comment on the burritos because I haven’t tried them.

Great Mexican carne asada; very flavourful without being overpowering. I had the burritos carne asada and wife had the 3 tacos. She loved the carne asada, chicken and beef. Also stated that meat was well spiced and chicken was nicely flame touched.
We are from Houston, TX and Albuquerque, NM and let me say that the carne asada was better here than in Sadie’s ABQ NM (well known touristy/local New Mexican restaurant)
Highly recommend it if you get that Mexico Taco/Burrito itch.

Been back several times and will be back for many more. The Wet Burrito is always my go to. I really enjoy the flavors and seasoning used as well as its consistency. Service was great and the staff is very helpful and accommodating with your order. Highly recommend!

Staff helpful and friendly, the girl at the counter was really nice, she was helping train one of the new guys, which is thought was good.
Food
Ordered the three taco plate, the tacos are kind of small, I’m not sure if that is standard or not, but it’s full of meat though. Not the best.
The wet burrito carne asada was just so-so. The meat was a bit on the tough side, but cut smaller which is better than the places that have them in big chunks or strips. The rice tasted like uncle Ben’s type of preseasoned rice. Flavor overall is ok. Not sure if we would order this type again, maybe a chicken burrito.
The beef burrito is also so-so, the flavors aren’t a wow factor, and it falls apart kind of easy, maybe it needs to be wrapped tighter. But on the positive side, they are packed full of different ingredients.
The chicken quesadilla which we order basically plain , was really good. There was plenty of cheese, the shredded chicken was great.
The chips are on the thicker side and a tiny bit stale. And the salsa is kind of tomato saucey…
Overall, I’d probably not come back here anytime soon, maybe once more to try it when they’re not closer to closing, and it was very busy.
So one more try and maybe I’ll update my review.

Ordered through Uber Eats and has the food delivered. The flavors of salsa and the Mexican bowl at Alejandro were a delight. However, there was an issue with packaging – some sauces spilled in the bag and the chips were a tad hard. Suggesting improvements in packaging could enhance the overall experience.

One of the best Mexican foods I’ve had since coming back from the mainland. Been looking for carne asada fries and there’s did not disappoint. Also good portion sizes

3 taco combo and drink for $20. Nice location with friendly service. The chicken taco was my favorite, next beef, and finally carnitas. The carnitas was on the dry side. Rice and beans were tasty. Overall, great lunch spot and I would return

Honestly, it is the best mexican food on the island. The price is good for the quantity. The food has flavor, which is so hard to find at mexican restaurants in Oahu. Can not get enough of it. 10/10

First the good: Service was very fast. I made an online order (I live in Aiea), then immediately drove to Alejandros at the Pearl City Shopping Center (old Ezogiku location). When I arrived, my order was ready. The online ordering system does not allow for a pickup time. That should be improved. The beans and rice in the burrito plate did not have much taste, but the carnitas burrito was pretty good. The asada tacos were disappointing. The steak was dry and rather tough. However, I liked the carnitas taco. The carnitas was moist and flavorful. Overall, a mixed bag. Fast ordering that needs to allow you to specify your pickup time. Stay away from the steak, beans and rice. The carnitas are pretty good.
Edit: Upon further review, I’m lowering my rating from 3 to 2 stars for the following reasons:
1. My 3 taco plate was supposed to come with a soft drink. I didn’t get one.
2. I ordered the carnitas burrito without onions, but the burrito was full of onions.
Attention to detail was definitely lacking.

I ordered the Carne Asada Nachos, beans and nacho cheese on the side. It was kind of a disappointment. Shredded cheese wasn’t melted. Lite on carne asada. Got avocado slices expecting guacamole. On picture is what I got, the other is what I was expecting. On the bright side, I wasn’t stuffed into a food coma. And what I had did taste good. I think the burritos might be better.
