All the previous reviews are correct. The food is delicious and far exceeded my expectations. The owner is hilarious and has a great time interacting with the customers. My only negative comment is that it’s so far away that I won’t be able to go here more often.

Real authentic food the best around that I’ve had. The owners and staff are super friendly and takes care of their customers. You get a lot of food on your plates. I’m actual have lunch as I write this review all I can say is yummy. They are located in the small town of Ragland it’s like a best kept secret give them a try you won’t be disappointed

Ate here a couple years and was more than impressed, brought my boyfrend here yesterday and was totally embarrassed. From the stained ceiling to whatever that was running down the wall beside our table, the sticky substance on the table ( my boyfriends napkin actually stuck to it… he had to tear it away) to the concoctions covering our plates and lumpy cheese dip. This is the first bad review I’ve ever written, and saddened to do so. Ive been served bad food by friendly staff and never complained, unfortunately… even this was not the case here.

The foos at this little unassuming Mexican restaurant is fantastic. Portions are huge. And the lady who runs it all, Ms. Lucy, is a real riot. She’s very welcoming and you can tell she loves entertaining her guests. The only slight drawback us the fact that Ragland is a dry town. So, no margaritas. Beyond that, it’s a real blast to visit.

Alegrijes is a twist on words “Alebrijes” which is a type of Mexican Folk Art and “Alegri’a” meaning happiness. This is a family owned and operated business. Don’t be fooled by the exterior as the interior is festive and the food is flavorful and delicious! Staff is extremely friendly and always happy to serve you. Hands down the best tex mex quesidilla I’ve ever had. A true gem in Ragland AL. Absolutely love the atmosphere and the food.
