Great experience at Alebrijes! We had Enchiladas, Pastor and Nachos. As well Avocado Margarita and a Mint Tea – everything was delicious. Friendly service and a welcoming atmosphere. Definitely coming back!

We ended up here by chance on a Saturday night in Prague . Got a table, without reservations and was quickly served. For starters we had Tortilla chips with three different dips. Very good. I think the chips were homemade. Boyfriend ordered fajitas with beef and I had tacos with al pastor meat. Both delicious. I ordered some sour cream on the side and this was more expensive than my boyfriends beer (not critique, just a funny observation). The restaurant was nicely decorated with Mexican decor and for Christmas. Friendly waitress and good service. A bit on the expensive side , for Prague , in my opinion.

Was worried it would be a overrated place due to location but the food and drinks were incredible. The margaritas on the rocks were delicious, however I do not recommend the jalapeño one as my lips were burning afterwards and I love spice. Other than that everything was great.

The restaurant is located in one of the best neighborhoods in the city. It’s quite small, but it didn’t feel overcrowded. The service is good, and the staff speak both English and Spanish. The food is enjoyable overall, with well-balanced flavors. The ceviche was excellent – a generous portion (about 250g of fish) with a bright, citrusy marinade. We really liked it. My only “disappointment” was with the tacos. The guacamole was barely enough for four tacos, and there were no tomatoes, onions, or other condiments – just the meat and pineapple for the ‘al pastor’ (as expected). The pastor also had a slightly tandoori-like flavor. While I still liked it, it wasn’t quite the taste I was hoping for. I would have appreciated more vegetables in general. Overall, I feel confident saying it’s a good restaurant and definitely worth a try.

This is a great restaurant in the historic part of Prague under the Prague castle and close to Vltava river. They serve a wide range of Mexican food and drinks. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, the vibe is very authentic, there’s Mexican music and decorations inside the restaurant. The food is yummy and they make awesome margaritas. We really love this place and also take friends there whenever they visit us.

Absolutely loved our evening at this restaurant!
We came here on our first night in Prague after searching for gluten free food. This restaurant had a full menu with so many naturally gluten free options and lots of vegeterian/vegan choices too. This suited multiple dietary requirements for our group of 4. The cocktails were lovely and a good size, the food portions were excellent. The staff were so friendly and welcoming and the restaurant had an intimate atmosphere with lovely decoration. The food was next level! The restaurant is located in a more quiet area of the Mala Strana district which meant we could get a table relatively quickly with no reservation but it was also just a short walk from both Charles Bridge and Prague castle. Totally recommend!

As someone who generally loves margaritas, I absolutely adored the mango margarita. The tacos were also a great improvement; they had plenty of toppings and tasted delicious.

Came here for dinner while solo traveling in Prague. Had a classic margarita, chips and salsa, and the tacos al pastor. Food was pretty good! Cheaper than anticipated. But my waitress was truly the star of the show. Wow! An angel in human form. Noticed that I was alone, sat down to talk to me, made me a free drink, and even offered for me to sit next to some locals at the bar. She made my day, and I will definitely be returning.

Didn’t expect to find legit Mexican food tucked just below Prague Castle, but Alebrijes really delivered. It’s on a quieter street in Malá Strana, just a short walk from the tourist buzz, but it feels like a little escape once you’re inside—colorful, relaxed, and unpretentious.

I ordered the Suadero—flank steak marinated in milk and spices. The flavor and texture were on point—tender, rich, and just different enough to stand out. Honestly, it was fantastic. I almost went back a second time before leaving town.

The rest of the menu looked solid, with a mix of Mexican standards and a few regional touches. Friendly, easygoing service (English spoken), and they genuinely seemed to care that you enjoyed your meal.

Prices were reasonable. It’s a bit out of the way compared to the main restaurants, but 100% worth the visit. If you’re craving something different or just want a really well-done meal in a quiet spot, this is a great pick.
