I love the $2 Taco Thursdays. Got beef and shredded chicken with everything. Tacos were great. Also got the ridiculously small cheese dip. It tasted great. But how do you get the chip into the cheese. The container is so small. It’s a bit comical. And part of the fun.

If I could give more than five stars, I would! Alebrije is hands down one of the best Mexican restaurants I’ve ever visited, and it quickly became a favorite after just one meal. The highlight for me was their blackberry margarita: absolutely out of this world. Perfectly balanced between sweet, tart, and refreshing, it’s one of those drinks you’ll be dreaming about long after you leave.
Even more unforgettable was discovering chiles en nogada here. Only available in September to celebrate Mexican Independent Day, it’s a roasted poblano pepper stuffed with ground beef, veal pork & dried fruits, covered with a velvety three-cheese almond sauce & garnished with parsley, pecans & pomegranate seeds, and served with rice & sauteed mezcal mango. It’s not a dish you see every day, and Alebrije’s version is truly phenomenal…rich, flavorful, and beautifully presented. It’s overstuffed with the meat and fruit mixture and the flavors work so well together I almost cried while eating it. I’m not kidding. We loved this dish so much that we came back twice in a single week just to have it again. That alone should tell you everything about how special it is.
Their tacos are *very* solid as well, with a variety of meats like cochinita pibil being a slam dunk.
The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the service matches the food – attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. Alebrije isn’t just a meal, it’s an experience that leaves you wanting more. The fun and playful sculptures around the restaurant help to ensure this.

I haven’t Found A Chile en Nogada As Yummy and Delicious As This One, You Can tell it’s made with Good Quality Food, Rice on the other side was cold and Hard. The Only Thing I do Consider, The price to be a little High for this plate (Over $25) Loved the Cheese Dip, was Really Yummy! House Margarita was on Point waitress was Ok, and Music Was a Little Too Loud in my opinión, could hardly talk to my Partner, But Overall, Good Food!

Alebrije Mexican Cuisine offers great Mexican food with generous portions. We ordered the stone for 2, and it was more than enough to satisfy our hunger. The drinks were tasty, and the staff was friendly and attentive. We had a particularly positive experience when we accidentally left a purse behind— the manager came out to hand it to us as we were leaving, which was much appreciated. Overall, excellent food, great service, and a thoughtful staff. Highly recommend!

From the friendly greeting to the beautiful Mexican artwork, this restaurant was a pleasure to dine in. Our server was patient, kind and attentive. We always had extra napkins and topped off water, without having to ask. The servings were generous and reasonably priced. All of the food we had was delicious, including the refried black beans which are often hard to find.
My review would not be complete without mentioning that they had the cleanest restaurant ladies room I have ever been in. No dirt in the corners, the stainless steel was sparkling clean, and covers were provided for the toilets.
Even though we drove across town to dine here, this will be my go to Mexican restaurant from now on. There are so many new dishes on the menu, I can’t wait to try them all!

Had a great girls night out! Staff is very friendly and accommodating; no problem adjusting items on the menu. Generous portions of tasty entrees. Selected a traditional cocktail not on the menu that was very good. Outdoor patio dining available.

The food here is truly the best in town! I’ve been coming here for 6 years now. The true Mexico city style of cuisine is the best in Georgia. The owner is a great man, who always comes to your table to welcome you. The chefs are amazing, service is always prompt, food over the top delicious ! A MUST TRY for anyone who enjoys quality food. Light years different than all the other Mexican restaurants in town. The “Best of Gwinnett” (5 years in a row, and 6th is sure to come!) awards on the wall show how well Alberije is appreciated. While all the food is amazing the brisket tacos are super great! Thanks to everyone working there for such a great service and food.

As always the staff was amazing! Always attentive. The food never misses a beat. I’ve never had anything I didn’t like. The drinks are on point and so are the appetizers! Best salsa in town. And considering I don’t really like tomatoes that’s saying a LOT! There are plenty of specials throughout the week so we come often! Give this place a try, you won’t regret it!!

Had lunch here over the weekend and it was best authentic Mexican restaurant we’ve experienced in Georgia so far. Tacos were delicious even though the tortilla was a bit on the chewy side (as described by my daughter). I had gotten 2 steak and 2 pastor tacos and I preferred the pastor. Also chose the hot salsa for the tacos and it had good heat to it but also flavorful. Thoroughly enjoyed all of it. Wife got the huevos rancheros, which I helped finish, and it was also delicious.
Our waitress couldn’t be more polite and helpful. Service was top notch!! Can’t wait to come again. Also, they have daily specials to check out.
