The Ale House is consistently good. Their roast beef sandwich are delicious and always tender and moist. Love their wraps and crab cakes. Service is great and friendly. That’s what keeps us coming back!

Definitely need to stick with the roast beef sandwich only …my gut told me I should not order the petite sirloin steak even though it said potato or french fries and vegetable du jour on the menu is served with it. Potato option: mashed instant potatoes not a baked potato and weirdly… I was not served a vegetable with my steak at all. 1990s style at best.

First time at the Ale House and we were really happy we went! Great bartenders/waitstaff, delicious portions of Fish & Chips and Roast Beef Sandwich w/ skinny fries, sadly we didn’t save room for dessert. Definitely a sports bar vibe w/ 8 big screen TVs in the bar area. Did not get a look at the dining room but it seems to be a good size.

Ordered delivery, food came 40 min late. Half of the things were burned, caprese salad had no balsamic on it, or anything else for that matter. Called to find out what’s going on and who ever answered didn’t seem to care that I had an issue, said the food left long time ago and that there is nothing else she can do. Will never order from here again.

I went to lunch with my son around 2. The place was empty, which was odd for a Saturday game day. I’ve been coming to this restaurant for decades and only have fond memories. The place has UNFORTUNATELY changed hands for the WORSE! … Gone are the days of filled up jars of horseradish and hot peppers on each table.. We ordered a roast beef sandwich, which came with gross string fries! and a total of 3 drinks. When we asked for horseradish and hot peppers, we were given the smallest sample size that we’ve ever seen! The bill was outrageous, and the bartender let us know she wasn’t happy with our tip! Not worth it!

I gave it 1 star because at least the roast beef was ok. I wasn’t going to write a review but since I have lots of followers I felt compelled. So here’s what happened. I placed an order for take out and waited to pay. When I heard the price I questioned to myself what I ordered. Part of the order was 3 grilled cheeses that were listed in their menu on line for $5.00 each. I looked at the bill and was charged 10 a piece for a total of 30 for grilled cheese. I went back in and told the hostess the situation and she gave me this blank stare. I showed her the menu on their website and the woman didn’t know what to do. She asked one of the bartenders who said that the online menus weren’t right. I Asked if this happened a lot ?
He’s didn’t say anything and refunded the difference. So if the prices are wrong on their website I wonder how much this scenario takes place. So be advised on the call in order if you do that . Another gripe is I ordered wings bone in. It says online that you get 10 wings for the order. I asked for blue cheese and was told it’s in there as well. Take a look at the pics and count the wings. I believe there were six and no blu cheese. I will now say “first time – last time”

Dated a woman in Broomall in the 2nd half of 70s. Couple of times a week we went to the Ale House. Loved the roast beef. Then moved away, then 6 places overseas. But a little while, I stopped in to the Ale House – after 40 years. Had a roast beef sandwich and a couple of pints and they all were topnotch!
