As a family-owned and operated sports pub and restaurant, we pride ourselves on using fresh ingredients and offering an extensive selection of local beers. Since its establishment by Marc Luros and partners in Castleton, the Ale Emporium has flourished into a beloved Indianapolis landmark. The legacy continued with the involvement of Herman Perryman in the late ’80s and his daughter and son-in-law, Shannon and Scott Baun, in the ’90s.

Stopped in an a Saturday at lunchtime, and although they were busy we were seated immediately. The service was fast and friendly, and the food was served quickly. They really have it together here! I had the breaded tenderloin, which although a little salty was still really good. She had the southeast salad which she found to be spicy, but duh. We would definitely come back!

Delicious food, customer service and staff are usually good…some are way more attentive and friendly than others which is to be expected, the atmosphere overall is okay, I wish the booth seating options had more availability because when its loud in there…you can easily become overstimulated with it and the booth helps kind of dial it back. Anyhow, I’ll always come back because the food and service has been pretty great every time, I just wear ear plugs sometimes to help block out the sound haha

Hubby got the black jack burger & I got the hot Sicilian
Both were very lack luster!
Black jack burger had no flavor to it
Hot Sicilian had hardly anything on it…very little meat, lettuce or cheese. I actually took the stuff from one half and added it to the other half to make a decent sandwich
Cold old fries
We usually get wings & a salad & those are always consistently good
Server was pleasant

I love this place , food is always good and best wings in Indiana. I did pay $2 each for extra sauce and they showed up very shy

Service was SLOW. While I appreciate that they have beyond burgers, I was quite disappointed with how it tasted. The pizza they served us came with a bent pizza pan. Overall, it just seems like the staff didn’t care much, and it showed through their food.

The wings were perfect and the chicken pizza was good- next time I will get a different crust. I was not a fan of the thin crust, but all toppings were really good.

The food was great and decently priced. I had the quesadilla (11.50) and bread sticks (9.50) and a drink. Total before tip was about $26, so you could get water if you wanted. I love that you got two choices of sauce with the bread sticks. I tried my friends wings with fries and the house made ranch! Really great ranch and the Hermazian sauce was amazing. The atmosphere was nice. The only downside was our server. They weren’t mean or rude, they just looked like they either weren’t thrilled to be there or tired, so we never saw a smile. The atmosphere of the restaurant was really nice as well. I would definitely go back!
