I was visiting from out of town and one of the ladies at the hotel suggested this place after her and her son ate there a couple days prior. The other 2 people in my visit went their own way visiting friends and family in the area. Since I was solo, figured I’d take the clerk’s suggestion. When you first walk in, there’s a short lonely hallway that you enter into. Go down it and there’s a welcome desk there. At that welcome desk, they will tell you to read the board for the “specials” because they won’t be saying them.

The restaurant was about half full. Within a few minutes, I was seated. A couple of minutes later I was able to get a menu (no drinks listed on the menu). I ended up debating on the lasagna, veal parmigiana, and the calamari steak. I went with the calamari steak that came with Italian wedding soup…something new and hadn’t seen it before. Beware…all their non-alcoholic drinks are sold by the individual can/bottle.

I got my meal rather quickly and looked great! The soup came first (not counting the awesome rolls with room temperature butter that spread so easy versus that basically frozen butter) and it was delicious. It did basically taste like chicken and rice soup with spinach though. The calamari steak arrived with mixed vegetables and a small bowl of spaghetti. The vegetables were cooked well. Not over done or too al dente. The calamari steak was tender and cooked well at the same time. The flavor at first was good, but it tasted much better with the sauce. The sauce alone was just a tomato sauce…nothing special. I make better spaghetti and sauce at home.

The service and overall flavor of the food though was 4 star for sure. The previous reviews about the owner and his aggressive/baiting right wing debates…are true unfortunately. I was able to have a civil conversation (mostly…didn’t let me have much of word in), but he is pretty strong in his want to show his thoughts. Just be aware of this when going. The place looks nice and is a nice cozy(ish) atmosphere. Would I try it again/revisit? For the flavor of the food (excluding the spaghetti) and level of service….sure! I can ignore or get out of the conversation. They did offer a military discount.

I typically don’t leave reviews but am making an exception here. The food was fine, service very good. BUT, the owner, Aldo’s son, loudly pushed far right politics again last night. At the table next to us! He wouldn’t stop when I objected. Just stood there and went on and on with his Qnon BS! “Mind your own business. My restaurant!” The whole room was treated to it. My wife and I (and everyone else) were there celebrating Valentines day! He should put up a picture of Mussolini! Felt like I was in Rick’s Cafe but Rick was a Nazi. Sorry staff, you were good, but no more Aldo’s.

Staff is always helpful and friendly. Truly treat you like one of the family. Food has always been excellent each visit. During my latest visit started with the peppers and sausage appetizer. Marinara sauce is amazing and a true highlight of the dish. Lends itself well for dipping your bread into. I had the house lasagna as my main entree. The meat marinara combined with the cheese and noodles were excellent. Dessert was the Belgian chocolate mousse. Highly recommend Aldo’s for it’s intimate atmosphere and wonderful food

Fantastic family restaurant! The food was made fresh and delicious, and the owner is super friendly!! We got the sautéed calamari, fresh bread, spaghetti and meatball, and everything tasted home-made: made lovingly and cooked to perfection. All the photos on the walls are of the owners and the family! Truly a family restaurant, I love this place!

The food is great in this quaint restaurant. Unfortunately the experience is often interrupted by the owner (son of the original owner). I had to stop bringing my family there due to the owners imposing tendency to insert himself and his views into our family conversation. May the owners father rest in peace as he was not at all like this and a most wonderful person.

The food was absolutely fantastic, and our server was kind and attentive — but unfortunately, the experience was completely ruined by the owner. After coming to our table, he began asking about our sexual orientation and then launched into an unsolicited lecture about God, religion, and how our “lifestyle” was wrong. It was invasive, disrespectful, and incredibly uncomfortable when all we wanted to do was enjoy a meal.

After reading other reviews, it’s clear this isn’t an isolated incident — others have mentioned being patronized about religion and politics here. It’s such a shame because the kitchen and staff do a great job, but the owner’s behavior is completely inappropriate and unacceptable.

I came to this place because we were looking for an authentic Italian restaurant. We came to the right place ! It’s really a small intimate space . Very dim light. Food was delicious and fresh. I ordered the Aldo
Linguine Special, but with the white clam sauce ( it was a bit light to me ) so I had a side order of Alfredo sauce to add as well. I also removed the clams. It was delicious! My Bestfriend ordered the chicken Parmesan . My son a bit of both our meals and loved the noodles

We first went here 9 years ago with friends and a few other times over the years. Last time was 2017. July 31 we went for my wife’s birthday. We began with Negronis and calamari. Michele specifically wanted the veal piccata which was excellent. If you want veal, this is the place. I had the seafood Linguine Special which was excellent. Desserts were tiramisu and gelato. We will no longer be strangers here. Molto grazie a Aldos!

My server was so so
The food was unimpressive

The calamari tasted like the oil was old

The muscles were good (ish)

The veal was good (not great but good)

The “gelato” was freezer burned

Wanted to try a new restaurant.

hole in the wall Italian food. The lasagna is gold, and the chicken parm was divine. It’s not a huge space and they had one server, not sure if that’s the norm. The wait was a tad long but they were very communicative & warm and friendly. Can’t wait to try more of the dishes here!
