i always order ahead before i pick up my order! the food is yummy and since i have diet restriction, aldo’s menus are able to accommodate that <3 it is also very convenient to stop by before class or work! i love their sunny veggie sandwich! the bun, egg, tomatoes and spinach! perfect! also the first time i tried their egg sandwich, i was shocked because they have caramelized onion in them! also, the drinks are pretty good - i usually get matcha or latte! and the bakery is also pretty standard!

Stumbled on this place as we were walking back from a meeting and decided to try it out.
I ordered the curry bowl and green tea. Absolutely loved the curry bowl. It’s made up of black rice, curried cauliflower, fingerling potatoes, crispy chickpeas, scallion, cilantro, curry dressing. You can have it as a vegan meal or add chicken to it.
The curry was so flavorful and I couldn’t stop eating it. The green tea was also so refreshing. I will definitely be back to try other things on the menu.

Tried one of their bowls. They charged $3.50 for tofu which turned out to be about five unseasoned pieces.
The bowl itself fairly small for the price tag ($16) and the sauce was too sour to be edible.

Very nice breakfast menu and decent coffee, fast service. The only place I really go to eat or get coffee on campus.

Update: after avoiding Aldo’s for a year, I decided to give it another try today. The rice bowl is swimming in an extremely vinegary dressing. I tried to literally wring out the rice and eat it, but it is once again inedible.
This place used to be great, but has really gone downhill. I just had the $9 warm grain bowl, which could more accurately be described as soup, given the large amount of extremely salty dressing. The sesame seeds were also very stale, and the meal was inedible. I used to be a regular here but I won’t be returning.

The iced coffee I got tasted more like iced water with a hint of coffee. Gross.

2 Sesame Salmon Bowla were very good. Recommended.
The prosciutto and goat cheese sandwich was inedible. They told us it was premade by another supplier (hidden, not advertised), so they couldn’t make the addition we requested. Rubbery bread with minimal taste. Think leftover Subway sandwich from the 90’s.

I used to like Aldo’s, but it’s gotten much worse since its facelift. Sandwiches were replaced by overpriced bowls that are not great, merely acceptable. Right now I am eating a coucous bowl with severely undercooked “roasted” squash (it’s crunchy!) The soups are still good and a reasonable price for a bowl. However, the sandwiches and bowls are increasingly too expensive and of poor execution. Please go back to the old Aldo’s!

I’ve had plenty of excellent cold brew from other places, I’ve made my own at home, and this tastes like hot brewed coffee over ice. Very ashy and not smooth. The choice of pebble ice with the drinker top is also a bad idea since you’ll get small pieces of ice with every sip making it a watery experience on top of not being a decent cold brew. I didn’t try anything else, but the cold brew gets 1 star…Not worth ordering at all.

I’ve always gone to Aldo’s since it’s so conveniently located, and I’ve always been perfectly fine with what I get, though some of the food options have been a bit hit or miss.
Recently though, the quality of drinks (and especially coffee) has significantly improved! Previously, my drinks there were already fine, but now I’m impressed and really enjoying them every time.
Service/staff are helpful and attentive, and it seems like wait times are also generally decreasing, which is especially exciting for lunch times rushes.
Would recommend, generally, and especially if you’re there for a meeting or to study, since the WID atrium is so lovely.
