If you are a wine lover visiting NYC you need to come here. We walked in 7:30pm on a Tuesday and got a table right away without a reservation. Ambiance was great. Service was friendly. Food was stellar – we tried the fondu and Eric Ripert’s famous salmon rillette.
The wine was incredible. Deep interesting wine list by the glass. I got their 3 glass flight, as well as the 9pm pour (was a Crozes Hermitage).
Aldo Sohm was also there walking around the bar, speaking to customers. Seemed genuinely friendly and approachable. Even signed someone’s book.

I came to the bar with without a reservation and they were kind enough to accommodate us. I asked for a Cremant d’ Alsace it was open for more than a few days there was a punch in the mid palate. Sparkling water was $7 buck with no label on it not sure if this is from a machine it didn’t taste like a recently opened bottle. Trust my palate I am a sommelier. My advice is skip this go to Boucherie
Wine bar.

Is the wine bar of the famous master Somm Aldo. The place is very nice, low light and nice music, is the kind of place that you can go inside and stay for hours without knowing what time is it. The service es very friendly and fast, they know about wines as you can expect. The prosciutto and melon beautiful and delicious

Highly recommend a reservation here if you’re a wine lover. The list is small but has some really great wines featured. I was between two different styles of wine and the server recommended one that blended the two types perfectly — her other recommendations really made the stop a highlight for us!
Ambiance is moody yet fresh and modern. I felt like there was a good mix of ages enjoying drinks and company.
Must get some snacks too! The chips are made in house!

We are avid wine lovers, especially French burgundy. We dropped by for a lunch and were less than impressed. The wine list was decent and prices comparable to NYC levels. However, the food was meager, and honestly the Croque Monsieur was seriously lacking. We paid for toasted bread with a very thin slice of ham with minimal cheese. I put two pieces together to try to have a decent bite. To say the least we were not impressed, but perhaps there are other entrées which are worth the price. As for wine service it wasn’t a priority for the server. We don’t mind pouring our own wine, but will definitely adjust our tip based on the attentiveness to the wine service. It’s not a location we plan to return to.

It’s my second time there. I was lucky enough to have Carla serve us. First time I was solo- it’s refreshing to be blessed to have someone with personality, finesse and knowledge. I love wine and it can feel exclusive beyond belief. I thank her for such a warm and jovial time!

We enjoyed having a few glasses of wine here! Was pretty great to see Aldo Sohm walking around – starstruck Space is pretty chill – not too loud which is truly appreciated. Food is ok.

Had a beautiful visit and was warmly greeted by Elaine and Eric. They were very proactive in letting me know any updates to the menu and were super attentive!
I had the butternut squash soup and delicious Cobb salad. It went really well with a Chardonnay and Chenin Blanc, respectively. Both dishes had wonderful balance and came out super quick! Shout out to Express lunch.
Would absolutely love to visit again!
