Their logos are almost identical, and to someone driving by it would absolutely appear that it is all one franchise. But it is not. The only way to discern which of them is of highest quality is to first be aware of which establishment you are dining at. This particular location is an “ALDAL-“(Aldalberto’s). In comparison to the same burrito I’ve ordered at the nearby “ALDA-” (Aldaberto’s), I would say this location has better food quality in my two visits. However, my first burrito was $16 and some change. That seemed absurdly expensive to me for a burrito that only contains: carne asada, rice, beans, and cheese. But I’ve become accustomed to these types of menus in which I am required to order a “super burrito” and then omit many of the ingredients, while still paying the same price. I thought to myself “that’s an expensive burrito”. But it was very good, and I was impressed and pleased. I returned this evening and ordered the same burrito, and this time I was charged $18 and some change. I asked about the price, and mentioned that I had paid less on my previous visit. They said they had to charge me to add one of my ingredients (even though the “Super Burrito” I was being charged for comes with many ingredients that I was not receiving) and they told me that whoever rang me up previously is going to get in trouble. She seemed to be mostly concerned with me accepting the price of that burrito in that moment, rather than the longevity of me as a customer. I did accept it when she said that was the “real” price because she had to add my rice, or beans, or cheese (I can’t remember which ingredient it was). This burrito was still good, but not quite as good as the first. And now that it’s essentially a 20 dollar burrito, it feels like an absolute ripoff. For 20 dollars, I can procure many other options that would feed more than 1 person. I never have good feelings about paying different prices for the same item at the same establishment, no matter what explanation I’m given. I mean – if an employee hooks me up with 50% off.. I’m not going to come back and ask for that. But it was ALREADY the most expensive fast food burrito I’ve ever purchased at $17. So when they said it’s actually $19, I said “OK”, but I said to myself – “this is the last time I’ll come here”.
Salsa bar.
