This location has seen a lot of turnovers over the past few years and I am just so happy to see it taken over by Adalbertos. Their food is always consistently good. Ordered a regular burrito to go. Wow, the soft tortilla was stuffed with fresh beans, meat, guac and rice and it was more than enough for a meal. I brought home some salsa from the salsa bar and poured it over the burrito as I tried to fit my mouth over this mammoth sized meal wrapped in a tortilla. Yum.

This was rough. Normally they’re great, but I paid $18 for carne asada fries and they served me an underfilled container with the worst, limpest and undercooked fries. I don’t know if they used some that had been sitting there or if they just barely cooked them, but this has completely turned me off them. I’ve gotten the fries before and they were amazing and crispy and a heaping serving, but I’m not going to risk getting these again after this experience.

I waited 10min for a bean and cheese burrito and asked to add potatoes. Paid $10 and then they didn’t even include potatoes very expensive and long wait for a basic burrito

Just in case some people are not aware – there are multiple Mexican fast food restaurants in the Sacramento area that start with an “A” and end in “berto’s”. The easiest way to distinguish between them is drop the “berto’s” entirely, and focus only on the letters before it. You will notice there are several variations:
ADAL-
ALDAL-
ALDAN-
ADAN-
Their logos are almost identical, and to someone driving by it would absolutely appear that it is all one franchise. But it is not. The only way to discern which of them is of highest quality is to first be aware of which establishment you are dining at. This particular location is an “ALDAL-“(Aldalberto’s). In comparison to the same burrito I’ve ordered at the nearby “ALDA-” (Aldaberto’s), I would say this location has better food quality in my two visits. However, my first burrito was $16 and some change. That seemed absurdly expensive to me for a burrito that only contains: carne asada, rice, beans, and cheese. But I’ve become accustomed to these types of menus in which I am required to order a “super burrito” and then omit many of the ingredients, while still paying the same price. I thought to myself “that’s an expensive burrito”. But it was very good, and I was impressed and pleased. I returned this evening and ordered the same burrito, and this time I was charged $18 and some change. I asked about the price, and mentioned that I had paid less on my previous visit. They said they had to charge me to add one of my ingredients (even though the “Super Burrito” I was being charged for comes with many ingredients that I was not receiving) and they told me that whoever rang me up previously is going to get in trouble. She seemed to be mostly concerned with me accepting the price of that burrito in that moment, rather than the longevity of me as a customer. I did accept it when she said that was the “real” price because she had to add my rice, or beans, or cheese (I can’t remember which ingredient it was). This burrito was still good, but not quite as good as the first. And now that it’s essentially a 20 dollar burrito, it feels like an absolute ripoff. For 20 dollars, I can procure many other options that would feed more than 1 person. I never have good feelings about paying different prices for the same item at the same establishment, no matter what explanation I’m given. I mean – if an employee hooks me up with 50% off.. I’m not going to come back and ask for that. But it was ALREADY the most expensive fast food burrito I’ve ever purchased at $17. So when they said it’s actually $19, I said “OK”, but I said to myself – “this is the last time I’ll come here”.

I stopped by this afternoon for my 30 min lunch break and I had to say this place is 10/10. I ordered a plate and asked if it would take long and the kind woman at the counter said it would be no problem. She got my food out in a flash and I don’t usually like refried beans but these guys definitely make THE BEST IN TOWN.

$25 for a super burrito with rice and beans on the side. It was good but overpriced. Better off DoorDashing zocalos.

This place is far better than any Mexican food that has been served by previous tenants . Great flavor good ingredients im from so cal and being so close to the border I’m a Lil bit of a Mexican food snob but this place does it right carne asada burrito is on point juicy flavorful and not stuffed with a bunch of beans and rice to save money . Carne asada torta takes me back to being a kid . And chicken tacos are very good . I highly recommend this place very consistent flavor profiles not a place where you go one time and it’s good then next time it’s trash I ate this place 3 times in one day very good
