Reviews
The food not only tells a story and makes the guest reflect and think, but tastes absolutely incredible. The blend and balance of flavors and textures is incredible.
The harmony between visuals and sound is well executed and pairs well with the dishes served.
The drinks are fantastic, and at one point everyone in the dining area gets a flow in the dark one for a unique shared moment!
They show you around the venue, including a ball room and a dancing lady. For some I can see how this is odd, or even awkward… however we loved the experience! Fine dining doesn’t have to be restricted to be a sit down quiet dinner, it can be fun and experimental! Well done.
Every course is not just food, but a story — a sensory journey that challenges, delights, and surprises you at every turn. The balance between innovation, emotion, and taste is unlike anything I’ve ever experienced.
The atmosphere, the visuals, the precision — everything comes together to create something truly unforgettable. It’s more than dining; it’s theatre, philosophy, and pure magic.
Simply put: Alchemist isn’t a restaurant — it’s an experience beyond words.
I travelled all the way to Copenhagen to meet my daughter, who has been working inside the extraordinary world of the Alchemist kitchen for the past month. Having dined in many three-Michelin-star restaurants around the world, I arrived with high expectations—yet what I experienced went far beyond anything I could have imagined.
Alchemist is not simply a restaurant. It is another dimension.
A theatrical universe where hospitality, creativity, science, humility, and imagination merge into something closer to art than to gastronomy.
Every moment is choreographed with precision: from the lighting to the transitions between acts, from the storytelling behind each dish to the gracious way the team guides you through it. Nothing feels staged; everything feels authentic, intentional, and deeply human.
The food reaches intellectual and emotional levels that only very few kitchens in the world have the courage—or the capacity—to explore. These are not dishes; they are messages, reflections, provocations. Flavors that stay with you long after dinner, memories that are cinematic in texture and emotional impact.
Having worked myself for decades in top-level hospitality around the world, I can confidently say: this is a place operating on a different frequency.
Not just the finest ingredients, not just flawless technique—here we are on Planet Mars.
Hospitality is something extremely difficult to perfect, yet at Alchemist it feels effortless. Elegant, warm, deeply respectful. Every gesture is meaningful; every interaction is genuine. You don’t feel like a guest—you feel like part of something extraordinary.
A heartfelt thank you to Andrea for guiding us with grace throughout the entire journey—warm, precise, and impeccably attentive.
And an immense appreciation to Chef Rasmus, who personally visits every single table, ensuring that each diner is not only satisfied, but truly experiencing perfection. That gesture alone speaks volumes about leadership, humility, and vision.
Alchemist is not a meal.
It is not a dinner.
It is a journey—intellectual, emotional, sensory.
I left with admiration, gratitude, and the certainty that in the world of gastronomy there is a before and an after an experience like this.
Simply unforgettable.
A destination worth travelling across the world for. Alchemist truly feels like the last stop. It would be difficult for anything to surpass this incredible journey.

All around they have an amazing cocktails and wine list.
In some of the dishes the chef combines successfully great taste with the statement, in some of them the taste wasnt the issue.
Bottom line- highly recommended experience
From the moment you enter the striking bronze doors, you’re transported into a meticulously curated world where art, science, and gastronomy converge. Each of the 50+ courses is presented with theatrical flair and profound creativity, inviting not just your palate, but your mind, to engage with deeper themes—sustainability, social issues, and the future of food.
Chef Rasmus Munk and his team are true visionaries. Dishes are not only flawlessly executed but often thought-provoking, blurring the lines between performance art and fine dining. Whether it’s a course inspired by climate change or an edible sculpture with an ethical message, every bite tells a story.
The immersive dome, the ever-evolving visuals, and the interplay of light, sound, and scent add to the dreamlike quality of the evening. Service is impeccable—attentive yet relaxed, knowledgeable without being overbearing.
Alchemist is not for the faint of heart, nor for those seeking a traditional dinner. But for those willing to surrender to the unknown, it’s a transcendent experience that leaves a lasting impression.
A meal here is more than dinner—it’s a conversation, a spectacle, and a masterpiece.
Above all, though, the impression I will be left with is how incredible the service at Alchemist is. Every dish was presented with a story to help contextualize our experience, and the beverage pairings (both wine and non-wine) were unreal. Service was attentive, fluid, and highly flexible. Our sommelier, Paolo, was incredibly knowledgeable, personable, and able to create an experience that felt special and personalized to us as guests. The care that goes into the customer experience is evident across all team members. Could not recommend the Alchemist highly enough.
