Alchemist Coffee on 27th is the perfect stop for a little holiday magic. The moment you walk in, the team greets you with warm, upbeat energy that makes the whole place feel festive. Their seasonal lineup is exceptional, but the standout is the Fireside Mocha — a rich, cozy, holiday-perfect drink with just the right hint of winter spice.
If you’re looking for a cheerful spot with great service and drinks that feel like a celebration, Alchemist on 27th should be at the top of your list.

Absolutely loved this place, by far the best coffee and such a cool looking business. Grabbed coffee for my team and I this morning and the person working handled the large order with no problem, even had a nice conversation.
Keep up the great work !

Loved my visit this morning to grab a breakfast burrito and coffee. The morning crew were a great pick me up as I started my day and I have never been disappointed by their coffee and food.
I also recommend picking up a bag of their lavender coffee for at home coffee days. It is just a subtle enough hint of lavender that it adds to the coffee experience and does not overpower your cup.

Today was my first visit to the Alchemist on 27th St. I had a deliciously unique mocha made with cacao & honey, and the atmosphere was modern and easy on the eyes. I did not notice music in the background, and it was easy to talk and hear. My friend and I were there for a couple hours and about an hour after they closed, I realized, to my horror, that I left my purse there. I called and left a message, thinking I’d have to show up at 6:00 AM and hopefully find it. Someone, who I assume is the owner, called me back promptly and immediately connected with his staff. They found my purse and put it safely in the office. I am extremely grateful and will definitely be back! Thank you, Chris!

The coffee and service are good, however I got the banana chocolate muffin and it’s one of the worst I’ve ever had. Extremely dry, it feels like I’m chewing on styrofoam. Maybe they gave me an older muffin, but it was so disappointing.
I had a 16oz whole milk latte and it was good, very creamy.
My boyfriend had a spicy bacon burrito and a latte and said the burrito was really messy to eat and like eating a cracker
Service is good, atmosphere is good too

Alchemist is our go to coffee shop in Boise. The atmosphere is unique with cozy couches and moody decor. The barista’s are very kind and always remember us when we come in. We love the coffee and use their beans at home in our coffee machine as well! Bold, flavorful, and smooth.

I was in town for my kid’s swim meet and was in need of some coffee and quiet time before heading back to the pool! I had the GF hummus avocado toast and a cappuccino. It was amazing! I was able to sit back and relax on the comfortable couch. The barista was also amazing.

Delicious seasonal drinks and top notch service. I ordered a bagel sandwich they ended up not having all the ingredients for. Not only did they refund me for the sandwich, they also gave me a $5 gift card.

The modern touch.
Alchemist is new, fresh, if not a little sterile, and quite the addition to the West End.
Likeable self roasted coffee (I enjoyed the latte, but don’t expect a high level review as I don’t have a fine coffee palate), paired with a really good (and fresh) blueberry bar, made my afternoon.
While the patio is a bit anemic and should see expansion and beautification for next summer, the interior radiates contemporariness, with modern art, grey-wood decor, and some lifestyle adornments that prompt self-assuredness.
The selection of eclectic non-coffee drinks, which I didn’t try, raises hopes of continuing thoughtfulness in the food/drink offerings.
I’ll come back.
