Reviews
Alborz Restaurant exceeded all expectations. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm hospitality that made us feel like honored guests. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between elegant and welcoming.
The food was absolutely incredible. Every dish was beautifully prepared with fresh ingredients and authentic flavors that transported us straight to Iran. The portions were generous, and the presentation was lovely.
Whether you’re familiar with Persian cuisine or trying it for the first time, the menu offers something wonderful for everyone.
The service was attentive without being intrusive, and our server was happy to offer recommendations and explain dishes we weren’t familiar with.
I recently visited Alborz Restaurant in San Francisco for a Sunday lunch and I must say, it was a disappointing experience trouble service Although we were aware that it had a higher price point, we expected better service.
After placing our order, we waited for 30 minutes for our food. They brought out one dish but informed us that the second one was still on the way. We continued to wait, and despite asking multiple times, it took another 30 minutes for the second dish to arrive! This was absolutely unacceptable.
When we raised our concerns, the staff simply informed us that they were short-staffed. Are you kidding me? After speaking with the manager about the situation, she assured us that she would sort it out, yet all we received was a small ice cream as an apology.
This experience was incredibly disappointing and ruined our weekend lunch. I will never return to Alborz Restaurant and I cannot recommend it to anyone. Save your time and money!
Visited the place with colleague for quick lunch. It was Wednesday afternoon and it was completely empty. The place is 23 years old and people are working there for more than two decades. You can enjoy Persian and Iranian cuisines.
The staff was very nice and helpful. I asked for vegetarian options and she offered to bring a small portion of Fesenjoon for taste.
Here is my food list:
– Chicken Barg (by other) *****
– Ghorme Sabzi Veggie ****
– Fesenjoon ****
– Persian Tea *****
The ambiance is nice. Place is accessible. However, some seating on different level (two steps). Washroom is clean and accessible.
We ended up coming here because the sushi place we wanted to go to was closed. By that happy accident we found this place.
Great service and yummy food. We were also experiencing true Persian food for the first time and our server was very kind and helpful.
Fair warning, portions were HUGE. We’re big eaters and still could’ve easily split a plate and had more than enough. (We did do this for dessert! lol) As it was, we saved our leftovers and had another yummy meal the next night.
My son, who is a cook, was super impressed, particularly by the Fesenjan which was SO delicious. Also have to call out the saffron and pistachio ice cream.
Would recommend indeed
staff were great
food was delicious
highly suggest “tah dig with gheyme” also “koobideh”
i also tried “koo koo sabzi” and “ghormeh” and “joojeh kabab” but they could be better
