I stumbled upon Albert’s Fresh Food Mexican in El Cajon and decided to go bold with their Hot Cheetos Burrito…and wow, it was insanely good. Super fun, packed with flavor, and honestly one of the best burritos I’ve ever had. The crunch, the spice, the cheesy goodness… it all came together perfectly.
What makes Albert’s stand out is their creative menu…they’re not afraid to mix things up with playful, crave-worthy options you won’t find at your typical taco spot. From Flamin’ Hot twists to loaded fries and unique fusion burritos, it’s clear they put thought into every bite.
I’m seriously bummed we had to leave the area because I’d go back in a heartbeat to try more of their wild and wonderful creations. If you’re anywhere near El Cajon, do yourself a favor and check this place out. Your taste buds will thank you!

We had takeout for dinner. Everyone enjoyed their meal. I had the Asada chimichanga which was very tasteful. Their red salsa has a nice bite to it. We are visiting from Texas and this was a good taste of SoCal Mexican food. We will be back.

I had huevos rancheros, the salsa was just like in any other restaurant, but I like my eggs cooked in a very specific way, and they got it right on the spot. Very attentive personal, clean place, and organized.

Long time fan, wishing we didn’t move so far but when in the area this place is a must! They are pretty quick at getting out orders but while you wait you get chips and salsa…free. Seems not many places make a bean tostada anymore, def a fan of Albert’s as it’s piled high with goodness. The beans and rice are the best! Not a huge fan of the red enchilada sauce as it’s a bit strong. You get a hearty plate of food when ordering a combo. Just do it! Oh, and arrive hungry!

We loved this place! It it’s our second time here, our first visit was a month ago but surprisingly the staff remembered us and she even remembered where we sat last time! I was really impressed by their good service! This place is really busy but the staff is still really nice and helpful so please be patient with them.
The price is reasonable and the food is AMAZING!! They have a great selection of food and drinks!( They even have a separate area for the Bar/ Cantina!)
We especially loved their soup and Hot Cheetos burrito!! Their soup always comes in a big bowl and the hot Cheetos burrito might sound weird but trust me it’s sooo good!!!
We will definitely keep coming back and try out more different items!!

Everything was so good! I got 2 carne asada fries, 2 mini tacos, and 1 fish taco all super tasty and fresh. The carne asada fries were loaded perfectly, and the tacos were full of flavor. Big shoutout to Kim she was amazing! So friendly, patient, and made sure my order was just right. You can tell she really cares about the customers thanks Kim for making my visit such a good one! I’ll definitely be back soon! ✨

Ordered 10 Rolled tacos and a quesadilla for $30. Go pick it up and the rolled tacos were not cooked. I called them and let them know and they told me to “come back down”, no thanks I just won’t be back. You’re welcome for the 30$ and get a new cook or staff or something. Thanks for an expensive crappy dinner. Place is gone real down hill, the photo is after I tried to warm them up in the microwave….hot sour cream(American guacamole) isn’t very tasty

This mexican resyis great, every taco I got was awesome, lots of chips and multiple salsas. The staff was all friendly and helpful.
