We ordered a Combo #1 (crispy beef tacos with rice and beans) iand it was a standout. The taco shells are made in house and are golden and crunchy, filled with seasoned ground beef that’s juicy and satisfying. The rice is fluffy with a light tomato-garlic flavor, and the beans are smooth and smoky, classic comfort food done right.
Combo #3 (one enchilada, one crispy taco, rice and beans) offers a great mix of textures. The enchilada is soft and saucy, topped with melted cheese and packed with flavor. Paired with the crispy taco and sides, it’s a well-balanced plate that hits all the right notes.
Service was friendly and fast, and the portions are generous. Prices are a bit high for a casual spot, but the quality and quantity make it worthwhile. Whether you’re dining in or grabbing takeout, Alberto Jr delivers bold flavors and satisfying meals.
As soon as I open my to go box, I see a fly enjoying the food!!
Sorry, I won’t be coming back to this place.
I wasn’t going to post this review, but the lady who took, cooked, and gave me the order was so rude. I called in to explain my disappointment and she DID NOT apologize!!!
Place looked deserted.
Also why is their salsa bar stocked with Jack in the Boxes salsa packets?
Avoid.
First of all, if you want rice and beans in your carne asada burrito, and you are used to terrible Seattle Mexican food, please drive your a$$ to the closest chipotle, because you are not worthy to eat this Southern California delicacy.
Believe it or not, the food here is actually better than many places in San Diego that I grew up on. I was shocked. There is absolutely nothing better than a nice Carne Asada burrito with nothing but steak, guacamole, and pico de gallo.
Again, if you have zero taste in Mexican food and want rice and beans in your burrito, go elsewhere.
The rolled tacos are fantastic and reminded me of my childhood. Epic salsa bar and free pickled carrots, onions, and jalapeños.
Once more, if you think rice and beans belong in a burrito, you have terrible taste in Mexican food and probably grew up in Seattle.
Free salsa bar is authentically San Diegan, and they have all of the traditional drinks, like horchata.
This place is 5/5 stars and deserves a Michelin star. Guy Fieri should do an episode here. El jefe should be teaching a le cordon bleu Mexican class.
If you read this far, and still think that rice and beans belong in a burrito, please go to chipotle. You do not deserve this exquisite cuisine.
If you are from San Diego and are looking for a little taste of home, you will appreciate this place and it’s a lot easier than flying back home for a good burrito.
The reviews at other taco shops in Seattle are comical, and I cannot believe the poor taste in Mexican food and the overly generous yelp reviews from unqualified palates. No mames guey!!!!
If anyone rates this place less than five stars, they do not know what they are talking about, so please disregard their atrocious taste in food. Trust me, this place is amazing. I will give you a money back guarantee
Super Fries with no sour cream was good and had a lot of fries. The fries weren’t too crispy but we doused it in salsa so that’s most likely on us… The topping ratio was good but would have liked just a bit more protein and guacamole
Ambience: N/A – ordered food to go
Service: 5/5 – responsive and very quick service
Value for price: 5/5 – good food, reasonable price, and fast service. They were able to cut the burrito in half for us based on request and double wrapped it to make sure it didn’t leak. A bit confused on whether this is part of the Alberto Jr chain or completely separate though…
