Tastin’ with Jason
The place was nice easy to get into. I had the Cuban sandwich it was good but the pork was big so it was hard to even taste the other meat I would add in another slice or two of the other meat to balance it better. It had good flavor though. My wife had a burger she loved it and their desert was really good. I would definitely go back I would just try something different. They make there kettle chips they were very good! Only other thing I would say is there seats or wood and not comfortable you won’t sit in there long.

The inside felt cozy and a bit rustic despite being located in a shopping center. The arancini was delicious, but the penne in vodka sauce with salmon and shrimp (drunken salmon & shrimp) was just okay that was nothing spectacular. Overall, it’s a decent spot for Italian food in Wichita but not worth going out of the way unless you happen to be already in the area.

They charge about $10 for this. When I opened the box all I could smell was Hershey’s chocolate syrup type scent. And that’s predominantly what it taste like. The texture was like a soggy boxes cake drenched in syrup with an overwhelming amount of chocolate syrup on top. There was no density. No depth and variation in flavor. I would expect to taste the espresso jump out at me, the sweetness offset by that and the richness of the cheese, with contrasting dense cheese and lightness in the cake. This was none of that. To me it just tasted like a fluffy boxed cake drenched in a light coffee with something in the mix (maybe cheese, maybe something else or a mixture), and loads of chocolate syrup drenched on top. Definitely not worth $10. I would go to Whole Foods and buy the $5 tiramisu there before I ever paid for this again. We didn’t even finish ours. It was that bad. What you see here has maybe 3 bites out of it. So even the serving size was sad for $10. I guess we are used to Tiramisu from an upscale restaurant off Rock Road for about the same exact price. We came here because they were sold out. We were very disappointed.

What a hidden gem! Albero Bistro was recommended to me by a coworker. My wife and I decided to give it a try. We arrived around 6pm on a Friday evening. The dining room was nearly full, however we were immediately greeted and taken to a table. The staff were absolutely amazing during our visit. Drinks arrived quickly and our appetizer arrived shortly after. The calamari couldn’t have been better. Our entrees were equally good. At the end we ordered the salted caramel cheesecake and were pleasantly surprised when it arrived with a message written in chocolate on the plate. After one visit Albero Bistro has definitely become one of our go to spots in Wichita.

Nice place. No music. Felt very boring. Was getting good service until waitress got interested at the guy at the bar. Just talking casually and hearing the whole conversation, while I went dry with no water and not asked whether I wanted another drink. I was in the other side of the room. If there was music it probably would have drowned the talking. The food was great! Chef is doing his job! I went back to rate this lower in the atmosphere section and felt was more honest. Please have manager manage your associates and take care of your “other’ customers.

Every bite made my eyes roll back so far I didn’t know if they’d come back out. The texture of the pasta salad was something I didn’t even know existed. The Burger D’Albero was full of flavor and cooked perfectly. The eggplant Parmesan was savory and came in a very large portion. This might be my new favorite place in town.

I have dined at Albero bistro twice. The past is fresh and handmade. Tobit the food and service have consistently been high quality. I’m a difficult customer to please, yet Albero Bistro consistently exceeds my expectations! We will be regular diners at Albero Bistro.

Tried the special dish, “Chicken Marsala,” from the menu, and the mushrooms in it were the best I’ve had to date. Would visit the place more often.

The atmosphere is great and it’s in a convenient location for shopping. The food and drinks are fantastic and it’s one of the more authentic local Italian restaurants. I had the carbonara and it was delicious a long with the prosecco and lemon cake. Great local spot that’s definitely worth checking out and very fairly priced!

Friendly staff, great environment, but the food wasn’t that impressive. We were actually pretty disappointed. We got the nachos for an appetizer and the Grilled Italian entree. The presentation was great, but nothing was tasty. It was alright, and tolerable, but truly disappointing especially for the price. Our waiter was very attentive, almost too attentive. We appreciated his effort, but he hovered a lot. For example, every time I took a drink of water, he’d come over and fill my glass back up. It was a bit much. I don’t think I’d go back. The menu is big, which just makes choosing difficult. They were accommodating for us, which was so nice. One more thing, our waiter was very hard to understand. I hate to say that, but it made it tough to ask questions. To summarize, if you’re looking for a pleasant and clean atmosphere, you’ll enjoy this place, but if you’re more interested in taking a trip to flavor town, I wouldn’t recommend this place. Their food looks great, but is more on the scale of just okay.
