Albany Bistro is the favorite destination for our girls’ day out lunches! The staff is accommodating, efficient and friendly. Great prices, too! Today, our group had the snapper with rice and asparagus, the Bistro burger, and the meatloaf plate. We were all raving that ours was the best choice! (And we were all right!)

This is no longer Albany Bistro. A wonderful new breakfast café has opened. Whisked. They open very early and are open every day. The food is delicious and the options are varied… everything from a light breakfast to an over flowing omelet.

My friend and I decided to try this restaurant out for lunch one day. When we arrived the lady taking our order told us they were out of basically half the menu and the menu is not very big to begin with. I ordered a chicken salad sandwich and mashed potatoes, they were extremely plain tasting, not enough seasoning…But edible. My friend ordered a salad which she paid $8.99 for, and all she got was a small bowl of lettuce, a little bit of chicken, some crutons, and some dressing. I felt really bad for her, because when she was finished she was still very hungry, but didn’t have time to go anywhere else and get anything before going back to work. Maybe this place needs to call Chef Ramsey from Kitchen Nightmares to help them out, haha.

I decided after an internet search for a local restaurant that this was the place that we had to visit. My visit included a staff filled with professionalism, politeness and a unique quaintness at Albany Bistro. Located in a downtown neighborhood, this dinner night was a great addition to my newfound life in the city. The menu consists of many local products and the chef’s catch of Sea Bass was amazing. I commend the management and staff on their obvious dedication to details in this top notch New York styled bistro. Typically, my husband is a foodie grump, but he was so impressed with the fried green tomatoes and biscuits that he made reservations for next week before leaving.

Chef Jacob knows great food. Located approx. .3 miles off the main strip it’s a very interesting environment paired with wonderfully prepared and plated dishes. I highly recommend the beef stroganoff, provided it does not rotate off the menu.

I wish i could give this place zero stars!!!! My cousin rented out the place for his wedding reception they bragged on how this is their favorite place. They must not have recieved such harsh service as i did. There was a server assigned to our table she was a delight. But for some reason another very rude disrespectful server kept approaching me. I felt as if i was in high school and she was a bully. She was very aggressive towards me for no reason and kept coming to our table to address me as uf she wanted to start a arguement. She damn near snatched my glass of water away from me and continued to harrass me throughout the night. Now it was obvious to everyone at the table she was a bully. The crazy thing about this whole situation is that SHE WASNT EVEN MY SERVER!!!! there was no reason for her to come to our table in the first place and the fact she continued to come back and harass me was. Crazy. When i told the manager about this server he chumped me off as if i was just complaining to complain. I am a bartender so i know all about customer service. And This place is the worst. I hope they stay closed so no one else has to endure what i went through. I am soooooooo pissed. I wish thetevwas more i could do to keep this place closed. I have never been so disrespected in my life.
