Absolutely fantastic lunch here today.
Food was delicious. All the staff were really friendly.
I had chicken pakora to start (the sauces were lovely). Lamb curry for my main which was so tasty and the lamb was so tender.
Came with rice and I got a naan bread too which was great.
Cobra beer on tap which is fantastic.
Thank you.

This place is a total hidden gem. Never realised this existed and so happy to have found it! Would highly recommend a visit.
We went as a group of 10 and got the lunch menu, which was incredibly reasonably priced.
The servers were so friendly and attentive. They had our drinks sorted quickly and our order was taken too. There was hardly any wait time for our starters and the order was all correct and tasted amazing! They were so good with the kids too and they all really enjoyed their food.
The mains were outstanding and the portion sizes were fab. I’ve not had such a tasty curry in a long time. We didn’t try the European menu but the table across had it and it also looked fab!
The gluten free menu was brilliant and had so many options on it.
All in all, this was a fab dining experience and a great birthday meal out for a relative. We all had a great time and would definitely be back.
Highly recommend ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Had dinner here with family incuding a small child.. The food was excellent, the service second to none. The staff are very knowledgeable about ingredients of the dishes. The place is immaculate and the atmosphere relaxed and friendly. The prices are very competitive and the menu offers Scottish, Indian and fusion food, and a varied children’s menu.
We will definitely be back. A wee hidden gem just a stone’s throw from Glasgow.

I along with my partner and step son attended Alba on Saturday night for the first time. We originally tried booking The Tudor, unfortunately that was fully booked, however we know the owners are the same so didn’t think anything of it. We thought it would be as amazing as The Tudor. How wrong we were! We were able to book a table no bother. The restaurant was immaculate, and the staff we first seen were more than friendly enough. We ordered drinks which were with us in no time. Then our ordered drinks was taken. I ordered the Nacho’s for a starter which I have got to say, they were the best nacho’s I have ever had. My partner had haggis bon bons. He also really enjoyed these. My step-son got cheesy pasta, the pasta wasn’t great. It wasn’t cooked enough and there were lumps in the sauce. For mains my partner ordered lasagna which he absolutely loved. He said it was up there with the best lasagna he has had. I, unfortunately ordered Chicken Balmoral. This is where the real issues started. I had eaten maybe 2 bits from the chicken, then I realised the chicken was RAW, as was the bacon wrapped around it. I was horrified as I had already eaten a couple of bits from it. My partner called for a waitress who was passing who advised she would get her manager. A young really lovely fella came to us and removed the plate immediate. He was very apologetic. He advised he wouldn’t have been happy if that had been put down too him either. He could see exactly what we were talking about when he first looked at the plate. I was offered another main but I really couldn’t face it. I was so worried about being physically sick due too the pieces of chicken I had already tried. I have a terrible phobia of sickness. However, I did in the end order a soup instead of a full main meal. There was a lady around who we guested was the manager. She came over to us. She advised us she would take £10 from our bill and that she wouldn’t charge us for the soup. She came across like it was no big deal, however when a customer eats RAW CHICKEN & RAW BACON, I see this as a MASSIVE ISSUE. We paid up and left for home. Then, a few hours later the sickness began! It has been absolutely horrendous. I am still unwell today. (We were at the restaurant on Saturday). I will NEVER eat or order chicken again. I would give 10/10 for how clean the restaurant was and for how amazing the starters were, however, my step-son’s cheesy pasta and my Chicken Balmoral massively put us off. From now on we will eat only at The Tudor by ensuring we book in plenty time. I can’t attach a picture of the meal as the member of staff removed it immediately. Disappointing, AVOID ANYTHING CHICKEN OR BACON BASED. I will add that the young man who attended our table regarding the chicken was lovely. He completely understood where we were coming from.

Had a brilliant meal here with my partner. We arrived a little early so took our drinks to the beer garden. The place is lovely inside with a very good atmosphere. Menu is Indian and a European choice. Was very difficult to chose because the selections were great. I had prawn cocktail and steak pie and my partner had chicken pakora and korma. Portion size was great. Staff were lovely and very friendly. Service was quick and at £14.95 for a 2 course meal it was great value for money. We will definitely go back. No problem with parking as there were lots of spaces.

The restaurant was nice, some of the staff were a little rude, didn’t get our order correct,
They had a birthday party guest, which were noisy, so we couldn’t talk that much as you couldn’t hear each other. Meals reasonably priced.

This restaurant is one of my favourites, I was here two months ago but forgot to review so catching up now. You can pick between two different cuisines, Indian and European.

I love the South Indian Garlic Chilli Chicken, my go to meal and loved it as usual.

There’s a parking area, the local bus stop is nearby (or if you live nearby like me you can walk down).

Service can sometimes be a hit or a miss although overall never had too many issues. Definitely a great place to visit.

Top marks all-round.

Mixed grill was excellent even though it was missing the king prawns (never realised they were missing til I got home and looked at the pics ). The portion of curry sauce it comes with is delicious, but a tad small. I like lots of sauce though, so personal preference.

Alba Bombshell is sensational 10/10. I’ve never had a sauce like it. Sweet with a little spice. I could bathe in it

Chicken tempura was excellent.

Kids’ nugget meal was fine. Nuggets are nuggets I suppose.

To nit pick – servers could ask for drink refills more often. Sat with an empty pint for 30 minutes, then it took another 30 mins for the drink to arrive. Place was mobbed though so no bud deal.

See yous soon

Buzzing atmosphere even though it was only a Wednesday night. Service was very good. An Indian restaurant with it’s own dishes but also with a wide selection of non spicy food. Great value too. The setting is very pleasant, with tasteful decor and next to a golf course.

The Alba has an interesting menu in that it offers Indian or European dishes with a relatively limited choice of both.
The Indian food was good but two in my group commented that their European choices were not very hot.
I tried the unusual starter of Haggis Pakora but was a bit disappointed in both quality and quantity – there were only 4 very small pakoras and they were a bit on the dry side.
Service was friendly but not that great. Two of my group were already seated with drinks and although all the orders for food were taken when we all arrived I had to prompt the waiter for drinks!
Also, when I ordered a sweet, along with teas and coffees, it was forgotten about and again I has to remind the waitress who had taken the order.
We were seated in a conservatory area which was chilly compared with the main area.
Final gripe is that the hand dryers in both toilets were unusually high with one of my group commenting that water went up her sleeve!
We were there for Sunday lunch and the Alba was popular with families with young children – just a comment, not a gripe.
