Beautiful spot for a date night splurge.
Just walking in was a visual treat. Dimly lit to set the mood but with festive Christmas decor that wasn’t over the top.
Service was very courteous and friendly, but somehow it took 30 min for our serving of oysters and then another 30 min for the rest of the food. I personally didn’t mind but in hindsight, it felt like a really long time.
Food was delicious. Started with oysters which were good (served with cocktail sauce, horseradish, and a vinegar-based dip). Steak tartare was enjoyably meaty. Truffle fries were good, but not much different from any others I’ve had before. Clam chowder was full of flavor. Lamb was even better and probably the best combination of flavors, being super tender with the harissa and the veggies complementing each other. (Some parts of the veg were cold though… probably b/c they may have forgotten about us during our wait.) Also had a tiramisu and a spiced pear Diablo, which was nice.
It is very pricey but worth visiting at least once.

The cocktails were great! The apps and entries were wonderful and more than most people could eat in two meals! But I want to talk about the service and the manager! We went there tonight to celebrate my parent’s 63rd wedding anniversary! Once they knew why we were there, their hospitality exploded! We cannot thank them enough for making my parents feel so pampered and making their night one that will stand out as truly special!

5 star on everything,i joined this restaurant today with my family and i couldn’t be happier with the experience we had,chris our server was awesome from the beginning to the end.me and my family had just left a restaurant a few blocks away because of how bad we were treated .we decided to try this and i am so happy i did because everything was great.the food the drink everything was so tasty .. we will definitely be back soon.the octopus,the calamari,sushi and the lamb is so delicious… thank you chris for making us feel so comfortable and happy..

Took my wife to Alba in Hanover for dinner, and man, what a night! First time here, and it was great. The drinks were killer—mixed just right. The food? Top-notch. The vibe was great, perfect for a date night. Staff was super friendly and on point without hovering. Already looking forward to coming back. If you’re in the area, you gotta check this place out!

Amazing time. Staff was excellent. We were with a party of 11 and the service was still top notch. Arrived 20 min ahead of out reservation and they had the table ready. Wine selection was also amazing. Food quality and portions were spot on (not too small and not ridiculously oversized). Around 7 a live performer started in the bar area (which is normally a big turn off), but the music was not too loud and the singer and song selection were excellent (80s tunes that make you want to sing-along). Will definitely be back.

Our first time at ALBA on 53 and definitely not our last.
The food, atmosphere and service are a TEN, not a 5-Star – really a 10-STAR. The vibe in the restaurant is lively, but not noisy at 5pm. Great energy.
We each ordered something unique to our tastes as you’ll see in the photos below. Chicken, Salmon, Pasta and Pizza were all delicious!.
The waitress was friendly and knowledgeable. The only incident we had was when she served the sushi and mistakenly gave us vinegar instead of soy. We told her it tastes funny and not like soy. When she checked, it was discovered that one of the staff mistakenly switched the bottles. She told the manager and he visited our table to apologize and ‘comp’ the sushi. Problem resolved with class!
My only gripe was that a bottle of water for the table was $8.00 since they don’t serve tap water. We had four bottles and were surprised to see the $32 fee on the bill. That’s not so cool in my mind, since we paid top dollar for the meal. But so what, it was a great experience and we will be back.

Stopped in for a quick bite. One of our favorites in the Hanover area. Great service, friendly, professional and courteous. Nice modern decor, open and well lit. Positive and happy vibes all around. Waiter was attentive and excellent. Ordered the grilled octopus, lobster bisque, Caesar salad with chicken, shrimp cocktail and sushi. Yes, thought we would try the sushi and it was actually good. But the grilled octopus was absolutely succulent. Perfectly prepared, delectable.and tender. Highly recommend. Will definitely return to try the other items on the menu.

A great restaurant and bar to enjoy good food and service! The space is so nice with modern decor and bars. The service was very nice and quick, the waiters were friendly and professional. The food was very delicious, the gnocchi with short rib plate was mouthwatering. The sushi was ok (not my favorite place for sushi). The seven layers chocolate cake was good.They also had a live music band playing nice music. Overall recommended place!

This place is just amazing. This is the place where my wife and I have celebrated our anniversary. This year with a baby, we just didn’t feel like going out, but I insisted on ordering take out thru door dash so we don’t lose the tradition. I drove and picked it up myself. I’m still amazed by this place, even as takeout the food was just unbelievable… give it a shot, you won’t regret it!
