I have lived in Mineola for 11 years and never have I even given this restaurant any thought. We were driving home from Oklahoma and saw this as we were close to home. My fiance says, “Check the ratings on Google maps.” Glad we did! 4.7 but really deserves 5 stars! Great atmosphere, service and the food was AMAZING. I ate the whole plate and so did my fiance. Portion sizes were just right. Will need to come back and try their breakfast soon!

Went this past Sunday with some friends for the first time. I had the Chicken Fried Steak, with Cole Slaw & Corn Nuggets as my sides. I was surprised how big the Chicken Fried Steak was. Everything was Very Good, especially the Sweet Tea. Prices were Good, Service was Excellent and kept my tea glass full. Atmosphere was Good. I would definitely go back. If anybody is in that neck of woods, stop by and give them a try.

Great local Family restaurant! I just had the best fried shrimp and hush puppies. I’ve had within 100 miles. The Chef event came out to check that everything was just the way I liked it!

We didn’t know where to have lunch Saturday 08/10/25.
Looked on Google maps and found this diamond of a Family Restaurant in Alba, Texas right on State Hwy 69, boy oh boy best thing we did.
Their fried catfish was amazing with all the fixing, and the service was absolutely outstanding can’t remember her name but she was very attentive and always came and check on us with a smile.
The owner was so nice and pleasant to talk to.
So if.you want Great food with a friendly smile and atmosphere go to the Alba Family Restaurant you won’t be disappointed.

Great little, old-fashioned, friendly place. One of the best hamburgers I have had in years. It was my wife’s second time and she loved the fish the first time.
Nothing fancy, just good food served by good people in a place that is old but clean and tidy.
Atmosphere. Well, lots of the old fashioned kind of family restaurant/diner. Not romantic. Not sterile like a chain restaurant. Just authentic.
The price surprised us a little, but I am often surprised by prices. They not outrageous and the results are good ingredients–good meat, real green lettuce, soft and tasty tomatos, etc.
All-in-all, a great find and we will be back even though there are alternatives closer.

Alba Cafe continues to shine as the cities only Cafe. The quality of the food is consistently good, and prices are fair. There is a daily breakfast and dinner special that a good value for your dollar. The service remains friendly from all the employees kitchen help and waitress’s.
Highly recommend you give them a try.

Great local family run restaurant in our community. They have a really good breakfast special everyday, and Tim the breakfast chef makes the absolute best omelets anywhere around the lake. The service is always good and the girls are always polite and friendly.

And good food and clean dining area. The staff were friendly, and our drinks stayed filled.food came out in a timely manner. It all tasted great. Had the house salad with raspberry vinaigrette dressing, and four pieces of grilled fish. The fish was a bit spicy, just a heads up. Also we had the club sandwich, chicken fried steak, and beef and cheese nachos. Everyone was happy with their choices
