It’s hard to find truly high-quality Mediterranean food in Ballston Spa, but Alaturco Gyro absolutely delivers. The Lamb Gyro was incredible perfectly seasoned, tender, and full of flavor. The fries were fresh and crispy.
The restaurant is very clean, with a warm and welcoming family atmosphere. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the portions are generous for the price.
And the baklava… it was fresh, perfectly sweet, and beautifully crispy on the outside with soft, rich layers inside. You can really taste the quality.
Highly recommend the Chicken Gyro, Stuffed Grape Leaves, and definitely don’t skip the baklava. One of the best Mediterranean restaurants in Saratoga County! Best Chocolate Baklava
I will definitely be back.

Small, independently owned halal restaurant. Stopped in for lunch takeout, and so glad I did! Now I’ve got lunch tomorrow too, because the portions are generous. Very friendly service, fast and accurate. Lamb was succulent and moist. No dry meat here! I got the rice bowl with salad, stuffed grape leaf, meat and pita. Pita itself was nothing special, but everything else was great! And the baklava was some of the best I’ve ever had. Definitely worth the price, and the calories! Wish I lived closer…I’d be a regular. Thanks for a wonderful meal (or two!).

OMG! What a hidden gem of a restaurant! I went today and got the chicken gyro platter. It was phenomenal. The chicken was moist and flavorful; the rice was well seasoned and perfectly textured and pita and sides (lettuce, tomato, onion small grape leaf roll) were all fresh and delicious. Taziki sauce was perfect. I also tried the stuffed peppers, which were delicious, and the baklava. Oh, the baklava! Worth a trip there just for that. I will be back! Awesome place!!!

Authentic Turkish food made my fantastic people. I spent much time in Turkey as a military member. Each time I get food here it brings me right back. Rauf and his wonderful wife are fantastic people. If you haven’t been here you need to.

What a wonderful little spot! My friend and I both got the mixed gyro platters which were the most expensive item on the menu at $17. There was more than enough food for us to have leftovers and was so delicious! To top off the meal we got baklava which was some of the best that I have ever eaten! Filled with nuts and dripping with honey. We ate outside at tables set up on the sidewalk and it was lovely. There is very limited inside seating.

I’m new to Ballston Spa & I finally decide to try Alaturco Gyro. Ive had Mediterranean food before; just chicken over rice and I wanted to try Chicken Swarma. I looked up their menu beforehand & saw that they had Chicken Swarma. Once I walked in, the owner was so nice & welcoming. I dined in and the guy brought my food out to me. They were both so nice & had great customer service! The flavors of the Chicken Swarma were so fresh. Next time, I’ll get the Chicken over rice.

When you walk into a place, 15 minutes before closing time, and they greet you with a smile and provide you with delightful food, you appreciate and frequent that place. We ordered the lamb gyro on pita, which came with fries. Both were excellent, flavorful, and the sauce – kind of like a tzatziki but with more mint and dill – provided a delightfully fresh accompaniment. The baklava… It’s like love in a phyllo pastry.
Wonderful place, wonderful people and delicious food. Super happy to support them and really glad they’re only six miles north of me..

Food is really good! I’d say the hotdogs are a little overhyped on social media (what isn’t?), they’re good dogs. But the mixed chicken and lamb gyro/platter are excellent. The service is great too – super tasty, super friendly! Be warned though – it is very much a hole in the wall, so you might not find space to dine-in when it gets busy.
