Read the reviews and went for lunch. Place was a bit empty and this may be why my service was so well despite what people have posted. I was greeted and seated very quickly, given some water and a menu and asked if would like something else to drink. I got a regular margarita, ice and salt. Nothing great but it would do the trick. Taco’s and enchilada was great. Rice and beans were ok. All in all this is a good restaurant!

The place was understaffed…took a little while to receive food, refills, the bill, etc.
The food was good, but the taco shells/tortillas tasted a little weird. Nice atmosphere and vibe. Here are pictures of the current menu.

Excellent Mexican restaurant. Decentservice with large portions of quality food. Not many healthy choices though. Kitchy decorations and authentic music make for a fun dining experience. It not for the Rosalito crowd but that’s not nessesarly a negative. The slow cooked pork is worth the drive.

Best Mexican food in Riverdale… They the best tacos that you can eat with hand made tortillas which is a plus. Patricia gave us an awesome service.

A long time family go-to. The service is always friendly and the food is solid. The food always has just the right amount of cheesey goodness. The salsa is yummy and the chips are adequate. This no frills restaurant just gets it done in an unpretentious way. We always leave happy.

The seafood quesadilla was good however the seafood was over cooked. There was no seasoning on the chips or the guacamole. Service was like warm. However the waiter seemed as if she didn’t know the menu and just about anyone can walk in and order get their food and leave. Unfortunately if they had people who would recommend items from the menu it would have been better. The light fixtures however nice but they were covered in dust. In a corner was a contraption that seemed as though it didn’t either belong or work. The booths that are currently there are tight. They barely hold four people of average height and weight. The table settings are less than enthusiastic. No sugar or condiments on the table. The atmosphere is an ‘I don’t care’ attitude and attention. The entire staff sits in the kitchen area and chats it up.

Been here 3 times now and love everything I have tried. The food is fresh and tasty, the atmosphere is nice. The service is good, the food comes fast. The drinks are also very tasty. This is my favorite Mexican place in the DC area The means are well priced with large portions. I will definitely be coming back everytime I’m in the mood for some good Mexican food, which is quite often!

My parents went on their very first date at The Alamo, and we go back every year for their anniversary. We have always had the best food and service and for 20 years we actually had the same waitress. This year as we celebrated their 52nd anniversary, everything had changed. The food was awful and the service was so slow. I felt bad for our waitress because I think she was the only one working. My niece and nephew got the chicken tacos and they had bones in them. We will still go back every year since it is tradition, but I was so disappointed. I hope we have a better experience next year.

Was very disappointed in my first visit here. No one was greeting at the door. 3 other customers were confused as well and decided to leave after 5 minutes of wait. I myself decided to go by the kitchen and ask if the place was open at noon 8/26/19. Our waitress was really sweet, however, she never came back to take our order. It was 10 minutes after she brought over the menu. The menu doesn’t seem authentic and the place was lonely. Just my family dinning in. Sad to say I didn’t have a good experience and I will not be returning.
