Donna was an amazing bartender. She was fun to talk to. She informed us of all the events they have from trivia to karaoke nights! We just moved in town and this is our favorite little spot. They have an amazing outdoor area that is picture perfect night and day. There is also a food truck outside that offers BBQ style food choices that all sound amazing to try.

Great local spot directly on the Alafia River with old FL charm, dive bar vibes, live music, great food, and great bar service. Great spot for a MC ride, by vehicle, or boat…Non-Corporate

They sell drinks only in the main cabin. There’s sitting indoors and outdoors. Inside people are allowed to smoke. There’s a food trailer outside you can order food from, sit, and enjoy by the water. If you are a victim of mosquitoes cover. Overall, I enjoyed the food, drinks, and patio lounging.

We are traveling and had this place on our list to visit. Had Jai Alai beers in a can (craft is important to us). Came on a Tuesday at 6. Good and affordable ($5) beers. Ordered the smoked, rubbed wings with jalapeño ranch sauce at the recommendation of the sweet woman working the grill. The views are awesome, the food is good, great prices and the music – ahhhh… yes.

Checked my receipt. Be sure to ask for the Tuesday Happy Hour $2 off starters. Not worth arguing, but…

Come here, you’ll be glad you did,

We come over here since we were in the area. Awesome little spot. The bartender was super sweet. The beer was ice cold in a nice ice cold mug. The scenery was beautiful and the people around you were super nice. We did not eat but will come back to check it out in the future. We even had a little bit of entertainment

This place is a little dive bar. Next to it is a food vendor. Order food and then get a bucket of beer to sit next to the water. Listen to the music from inside. Friendly locals but don’t be an ass. Lol. Great times!

First off this place is a little hidden gem. It’s definitely a local dive bar, but it’s a great feel and wonderful people in there. But there are definitely some negatives from our first time coming here today!! we came to see a friend of ours in a band that was playing so he made the trip for the first time. It’s a beautiful spot right on the water with very limited parking, but that’s what also helps. Keep it small and friendly. If you want to, you can pull up on your boat, which is wonderful. And the staff are extremely friendly as well.
But there is a downside. You order your food outside from a separate building which is understandable but we ordered mozzarella sticks instead of telling us that it was two dollars over menu price online and the fact that they did not have marinara sauce so they gave aside of mango salsa was pretty unforgivable. The mozzarella sticks themselves were amazing but before somebody pays, you should definitely let them know if you’re gonna do something weird like that.
Anyway, we enjoyed the mozzarella sticks and our drinks and paid our tab which came out to be $13 so that’s great prices!! But then when we get home and check the credit card, they put a flat charge of $20 on the card!! of course we left a nice tip, but that was not what our bill came to. They switched servers in the middle of our stay and somehow overcharged us.

Edit: 3 days later: thank you to the staff for getting back to us on this review. We did see the next day the $20 was removed and the correct price was charged. And thank you for explaining how you put a hold on the card. I do think that’s something you might want to put on the menu or explain to people if they’re using credit. But understandable just unusual. Again, thank you for getting back to us and taking care of it so swiftly. And I would definitely look into having the restaurant change the price of their mozzarella sticks and letting people know what side it comes with. Again great experience and we will be back!

I got the fish and chips special. Just how it comes with cole slaw and fries. I was surprised when it rang up right at $20. then you have to go to the bar for a drink.
The seasoning in the batter threw me off. battered cod shouldn’t be spicy and it didn’t blend well with the fish . Outside of the seasoning the fish was cooked well and crispy like it should be. The slaw on the other hand tasted like plastic and the seasoning didn’t blend well with it either.
They might have the best brisket or smoked wings but I’ll never know.
