We often start our trip to the Keys at this classic stop on Card Sound Road. We often run into friends even when we are over an hour from home. It is just one of those places that draw people in. It has a true Keys feel…. you are on the water with tables along the edge watching fish and boats drift by. The sun was glistening on the water demonstrating the magic that comes with the Keys. We don’t always order food here but today got peel and eat shrimp that were delightful and just right to begin our journey. The bartender was chatting up some other customers so we waited a bit but like all Keys visits… we made friends with some fellow travelers. The food is served in paper plates and drinks in plastic cups so if this is a turn off for you, you might not enjoy but for us it is one of those nostalgic stops that we hit most times on our way south.

Get a conch fritter, they are truly the best you will find, then go somewhere else for the rest of your meal.
Apparently there was a movie being filmed here the night before we got here. We were pretty rudely told they were not open yet because of the movie shooting the night before, we arrived right at 11 when they open.
So I get that people have bad starts to their work day sometimes and the staff were not expecting all the extra work when they arrived this day. But…not my problem. So the owner of the place took the money the movie production company offered and didn’t warn anyone about all the clean up that would be needed. Again, not my problem so take it up with your boss, don’t take it out on the customers. We saw a table to 4 leave due to the rudeness. We stayed because we really wanted the conch fritter, which was amazing but the drinks were watered down and way too expensive for that. Glad we tried one because we won’t be back!

Stopped here due to recommendations from a local that worked at another restaurant. He said they have the best conch fritters around! They won the contest for the entire keys!!! He didn’t tell a story either! They were great. We also had the fish tacos and shrimp & crab spring rolls. We had everything to go to make sure we didn’t miss our flight! Love the scenery! Waitress was outstanding also!

Ice cold beers, I had their bowl of chili and a roll to hold me over to dinner. Waitress was very considerate and made sure everything met our satisfaction. The restaurant was the open side hut Key Largo style which was very comfortable and pleasant with water flowing beside our table and nature was feeding in front of us

We had a great time here. “DOG” was our bartender and he took great care of us. Total mix to locals & tourists. Definitely worth stopping by!
We split the Conch Chowder, mozzarella sticks & a burger = great stuff.

If you are looking for a dive type bar this is your place. But don’t let the exterior fool you, the food is phenomenal. Served on Styrofoam and using plastic utensils this truly lets you know that this is a simple place to relax and kick back. Located right on the water with a view of boats, fish, birds, and mangroves. The license plates scattered throughout the joint really make it a cool spot. It took 5 trips to the Keys to find this place. So happy we veered off Hwy 1 to Card Sound Rd. A little scenic detour to get to Key Largo. I highly recommend it.

This is a hidden gem! The service was great. My family and I were seated immediately and told we could choose anywhere. We sat by the water, which was very entertaining. The food was also a 10/10. My son got the combo meal with conch, Mac n cheese, fish sticks, and crap cakes. It did not disappoint. my husband and I both got blackened Mahi Mahi tacos – his on tortilla shells and mine as lettuce wrap. This is a great option if you are Gluten Free. And, they have plenty of other gluten options available.

I also loved the decor there. You really need to see it for yourself!

The prices were extremely affordable, the locals were wonderful, and the food was top notch. I highly, highly recommend stopping here!

A must stop on the way in or out of the keys! Great atmosphere and friendly, fun staff.

Cold beers, strong drinks and solid food. All with a view and music.

Ask for grandma, best server in the keys!

The food was ok. I don’t know if it is always subpar or if it was just because we got there just before the kitchen closed (by accident, we didn’t know until we walked in as we didn’t google the hours or anything) I do plan on visiting again to give it a fair shot. The atmosphere though for being there when we were was laid back.
