The restaurant has a very cool patio with retractable roof above, absolutely great feature.
The restaurant was busy , the patio was full with all guests attending this event.
All reservation could be done with Opentable app. The restaurant had some issues with the app but we were able to fix the confusion.
The restaurant is large with many different rooms inside but for us the patio was the most important.
As our reception wine was ; Tintero . Piemonte Rosato 2018 from Italy, very nice , refreshing ,exciting and bubbly.
Primo
Chilled tomato soup, avocado, jicama, radish- phenomenal dish, great for the hot days, fresh, refreshing very smooth, excellent
Avignonesi, Cantaloro ROse 18, Italy- very light almost like Pinot Grigio, to me it was just too flat and without any excitement
Secondo
Beef tartare, remoulade, pickled ramps, crostini
Clos Cibonne, Cotes de Provence Rose Traditional 17, France -it was
Terzo
Seafood paella, chorizo, saffron, peas and sofrito very good spanish paella prepared by chef Marco
Bodegas Los Bermejos, Rosado, Lanzarote 18 Spain ( Canary Islands) it was great pairing wine with paella
Il Quarto
Stone fruit tart, vanilla gelato both were really tasty and exciting
Elio Perrone, Bigaro Rose 18, Italy was fruity and sweet, good combination with our dessert
The restaurant is fun, the patio makes a huge difference, all tables inside have tablecloths and nice candles on the tables. Looks like Al Vinto can accommodate a lot of guests in their two big rooms and the patio.Thy have two restrooms and they were nice a clean.
Service during our event was good but not great ,somehow all waiters were either tired ,not so happy or just really did not care much. Just simply looked like they were there for the job only, lock of excitement was visible.
Chef Marco did a phenomenal job cooking spanish paella, chef Jonathan, Erin and the Al Vinto supporting team did a fine job preparing all dishes during our event. Thank you all.
Overall the event was educational and fun, four courses were plenty for me to enjoy the evening. Al Vento is a cool place, especially at the patio. I really recommend this place .
Friendly staff but service was a little slow considering it was only moderately busy. We will definitely be eating here again in the near future.
Edit: Returned after 6 months. As outstanding as ever.
Overall it was a terrible experience from the food to the service.
With that said, we just didn’t like the food or the menu at all. The appetizer menu was almost entirely different varieties of bruschetta, the chocolate tort we had was more like a chocolate bar than a dessert (dense is one thing but this was just crazy, and not tasty), and the other items we saw on the menu were insanely overpriced especially if they were on par with the quality of items we did try.
I don’t think I would ever eat here again but I would go back for drinks. The patio is lovely, they had a great deal on bottles of wine, and as I mentioned the service was wonderful.
