First off, in a big fan of lamb. There aren’t too many Mediterranean restaurants in this area, so it’s always great when I find 1. My waitress was the very helpful with picking my first meal with them. It was a tasteful choice!! I would definitely refer someone to this place. The food was delicious.

If you go, definitely dine in. The food tastes great, but the service is amazing. I’d been meaning to check it out for a while and finally did. I took my mother who was unfamiliar with some of the food. They gave her recommendations that were delicious and were so patient and kind. I’ve been back twice since my first visit two weeks ago and each time it’s been great.

Fantastic, authentic Mediterranean experience. I don’t know what took us so long to try this place but I am glad we did. The food was spectacular, we got the Sampler Plate since we wanted to try everything and let me just tell you. The flavors are so complex and different from everything else around here. The service was amazing, and we got some extras free of charge. Presentation or ambiance does not matter when the food tastes this good. Please do yourself a favor and try this place asap.

I’ve gotten two dishes and I’ve enjoyed both! If you enjoy Mediterranean food or want to try something new you gotta try this place! The hummus was delicious and they gave me 2 different things I could add to change the flavor if I wanted. My gyro was with a slightly different bread than pita and I loved it. This restaurant is not the same as Petra it has its own flavors and better prices. The other fish I got has as amazing garlic sauce! I just forgot the name. Oh the fried were actually really tasty, like they weren’t an afterthought. I tried 3 different soups my favorite being the lamb and vegetable soup, so comforting and rich.

The food was fantastic!!! Firstly, both the regular and spicy garlic small plates were the best I’ve ever had (and I’ve had a lot). All of the soups were fantastic, but the chilli lamb soup stole the show. The 4-6 person platter is as you see above with stellar presentation. The lamb chops were perfectly cooked, juicy, and very tender. The shish tawook was also very tender and juicy. It was a great experience with great service. I am so glad this place opened up in Oak Grove.
Update 11/2/23: Been here at least a dozen times and it’s still just as amazing. The hospitality and quality is still unparalleled for H’burg. Owner is super nice and very generous. If you haven’t been here yet, you must try!

Our first experience here was incredible. The owner was super kind and very obviously passionate about his food. He made us all kinds of different foods to try. We left STUFFED, and with leftovers. The flavors are so vibrant and not a single thing we tried was bad. I’m in love.

You don’t have to travel to the Mediterranean or to a big city to enjoy authentic Mediterranean food. The Ghalaba Classic (with beef) was amazing with very subtle but complex spices and herbs. The crushed lentil soup was very flavorful with a velvety smooth texture. The pita with crushed garlic spread was light and delicious to munch on while reading the menu which has many foods from which to choose.

Randomly chose this place without looking at reviews or being from the area(we live about 2 hours away from Harrisburg). And we are so happy we did! The service was phenomenal! Mr Bill helped up with the ordering and we were so surprised by how flavorful and authentic everything was! We ordered a lot of food and everything was fantastic but the ones that really stood out for us was the garlic dip, the salmon hummus, and the combo platter. We cannot wait to go back!

Al Shish Kabob is the best restaurant in H-Berg. We had The Big 6 Platter, the beef/lamb chops were so juicy and tender, seasoning was perfect! The hummus was delicious, even the rice had great flavor!I highly recommend trying the dessert..so GOOD. Restaurant is very clean and the staff are very friendly.
