We ordered delivery from Al Shami and we were disappointed. The beef shawarma sandwich was chewy. The fried kibbeh was the best thing we tried. The chicken and rice plate was very chewy, not what we expected, it was supposed to come with french fries, those didn’t make the trip to our house. We won’t get delivery from here again but we may give it one more try in person.

I changed my review, to 5 star, they are good, but very very slow.
Very unfortunate, they took 15 minutes to make a simple beaf or chicken shawarma, bro its food truck and everything need to be quick. FYI, if you don’t pay them tip it will take forever to make your order.
There is no way to reply back, but here is my answer, the food you prepare was delicious that is why my review was only for your time and I didn’t pay tip and the customer behind me paid you tip, his order was ready before mind, that is why I complained, by the way i am coming back and will spend another $120.00, and if you treated me the same I will not change my review.

The flavor was good but the meat was VERY dry. Also, the beef tasted like goat/sheep meat. Probably won’t go back for a while.

I just tried shawarma from Alshami Food Truck and honestly… WOW. This is hands down the BEST shawarma I’ve ever tasted. The meat was perfectly seasoned, juicy, and full of authentic flavor. The bread was fresh, the toppings were balanced, and every bite was pure perfection. You can tell they put love and real tradition into their food.
If you’re craving real, authentic Middle Eastern shawarma, this place is a MUST try. I will definitely be coming back again and again!

Al Shami used to be my go to Shawerma spot since they opened. I have unfortunately witnessed a decline in quality of the meats like the shawerma both beef and chicken. I am not sure why this is the case because they gained such a great reputation in the arab community because of the quality of their product but this has definitely declined in recent months. I hope they can bring back that fresh crispy juicy shawerma we all knew

Takes a bunch of phone calls for them to pick up, then when you’re there you’ll see them chit chatting. The food takes AT LEAST 20 minutes for a single chicken shawrma sandwich. Today the wait is 30 minutes. It’s a food truck it needs to be much faster than this. The food is great but they need to work on their service. One of the best shawarmas in Houston but this service will definitely drive customers away.

Delicious shawarma!! One of the best in Houston! The chicken is tender and I don’t know what sauces/marinade they use but the chicken tastes amazing!! The garlic sauce is always fresh and yummy! Highly recommended!

I ordered chicken shawarma with a total bill of $50, and they only included one small sauce container. That’s simply stingy and unacceptable for an order of that value.
Secondly, the shawarma was mostly bread and garlic sauce, with barely any chicken flavor. It did not taste fresh or well-prepared.
Third, I visit Al Shami regularly and order in person. Every time I ask for the manager, I’m told he’s not available. The staff’s attitude is never pleasant — they often seem upset and unwelcoming.
I have known Al Shami since the first week they opened, but unfortunately the quality and service have become very poor.
I honestly recommend everyone to try Turk Al-Dimashqi in the same area and plaza — much better experience overall.

Possibly the worst Mediterranean food experience I’ve had in Houston. The pita was stale, chicken was incredibly dry and tasteless and the fries were overcooked. If you’re really craving Mediterranean cuisine and want food in under 20 minutes, just keep driving the extra half mile to Abu Omar Halal. You can never go wrong with them and still get your food fast.

I recently placed an order and requested to add shawarma, but it was not included. The tahini sauce was also missing, and the rice was not included with the chicken shish tawook meal. This is not the first time this has happened. I understand that it might be due to a busy period, but having this happen three times is unusual. It is clear that the person preparing the order is not checking the receipt.
I am completely dissatisfied with the food. The shawarma was good, but the shish tawook was bad. I will not be ordering from you again. It is not usually my habit to leave a review, but it is really unfair to pay for food that is not delivered.
