Service is very good as is the food. It’s a little disappointing that the thalis are not available all the time. They’re an excellent way for a single eater to have a balanced meal (protein *and* veg) without over-ordering. (And they’re quite delicious!)
I mean look at the photo? Would you rather have a single entree or this when eating by yourself with nobody to share with?

Buffet=expensive bad idea. Driest meats ever, good sauces but excessively oily. Naan seemed recycled from night before. Pros: tofu curry. Cons: rubber shrimp, greasy limp onion rings, tandoor chicken dry enough to use as tinder. Saw sizzling plates of lamb chops come from kitchen. THAT is probably where any good review originates.

Y’all. If I could give this place ten stars I would. The flavors are amazing in every dish we tried (and it was a few). The Gulab Jamun dessert was so good we took a second order home to share. We had the non vegetarian sample meal and the balti lamb. Pictures are of those after we had already torn into them.

This company closed 4 days ago and without notice would not accept my Groupon as it was under new management. Since I had not taken my food, I tried to leave and get a Groupon refund. The manager blocked me from leaving. I paid for my food – which in itself was beyond disappointing as you can see from the pictures. The dry chicken was $16. Waste of money.
The WORST customer service. Will not return.

I was in Baton Rouge this week and had dinner here with my son. We are both vegan and were able to find delicious vegan choices! He had a dish made from chick peas and I had vegetables that they added curry to to make a delicious vegetable curry! Both dishes were wonderful! We liked it so much that we returned the next day for the buffet for lunch. It was perfect! Every selection we tried (and we tried many!) was delicious! The manager was so kind and personable! The food servers were great! (Juliet was our waitress for the evening meal) and I didn’t get the name of the young man who waited on us for lunch, but both were great! I only wish that this restaurant had opened in Alexandria, La instead of Baton Rouge. We have NO Indian restaurants here which is sad, indeed! I have to make another trip to BR soon, so I know where I will be dining! I’ve always enjoyed another Indian restaurant in BR, but I now have a new favorite! (note, for some reason it says my post will be under my son’s name. That’s OK. I’m sure he agrees with me 100%) Brenda Franks

Totally authentic! Totally delicious! And the price is right! I love this place! Every time I go to Baton Rouge I eat here. Sometimes twice or three times in a two day visit. I love East Indian food and this is the best restaurant for it in all of Baton Rouge. The service is fantastic and very friendly people. You know it’s good when other East Indians eat here.

The owner loves his restaurant and it’s a treat to dine there….I discovered Al Noor about a month ago and I’ve had a hard time enjoying my old go-to lunch spots since. If you’ve never tried Indian before this is a great place to start. There is always a big variety. I haven’t gotten the owners name yet be he and his daughter, I presume, are super nice and friendly. I love to support this local, diverse dining option! I’m sure you would too.

Best Indian food in town. I love the quality selection on their buffet line and how they rotate in new dishes often. Every time I go I’ve been able to enjoy either a totally new dish or a different preparation of the same dish. I really enjoy tasting all the different ways they can prepare palak paneer. The staff are friendly and attentive. You have to go for the buffet so you can sample just how talented the chef is.

The food here is fabulous. The owner cares about the quality of the food and his customers. The food is always fresh and seasoned properly. If you want to sample a variety of dishes, then give the buffet a try. Plenty of vegetarian dishes and meat dishes on the buffet to suit all. I love the goat, it’s delicious. I could eat my weight in naan. Lol By far the best India cuisine around. The very highest recommendation!!!
