Hidden Gem in Queens!

If you’re looking for the best hookah in Queens, Al Nar Lounge is the spot. I came here on a Saturday night with friends, and it did not disappoint.

Hookah – Super smooth pulls, thick clouds, and tons of flavors to choose from. We tried mint, blue mist, and watermelon—every single one was . The staff kept the coals fresh all night without us even having to ask.

Food – Honestly, I wasn’t expecting the food to be this good! The monster burger was massive and juicy, the shrimp & chicken platter was seasoned perfectly, and the fried Oreos? Next level. Great portions and super affordable.

Vibe – There’s a backyard space that’s perfect for summer nights. Chill music, cozy lights, and enough room to actually relax and enjoy. It didn’t feel crowded or rushed at all.

‍ Service – Everyone was super friendly and checked in on us often. You can tell they care about your experience.

Definitely coming back again. Whether it’s a chill night with friends or a lowkey date spot, this place delivers.
Union Turnpike, Queens — don’t sleep on it.

Hookah was good, but they have the audacity to charge an automatic 22% service charge. Which is absolutely outrageous and should be illegal. Predatory behavior.

As of 2025, the hookah lounge scene has grown exponentially, with hundreds of establishments claiming to offer the “same vibe” and the “same shisha.” From experience, that couldn’t be more inaccurate.

Over the past few years, I’ve visited more than a dozen hookah lounges across Queens and Long Island, and while many are decent, one clearly rises above the rest: Al Nar Café. This isn’t just another lounge—it’s an experience. What started as a visit quickly turned into a go-to destination.

From the moment you walk in, the difference is clear. The customer service is attentive and welcoming, the shisha is consistently rich and flavorful with impressive longevity, and the atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between comfort and energy. Every detail feels intentional, and it shows.

Al Nar Café has perfected the formula that keeps guests coming back—not just once, but time and time again. If you’re looking for quality, consistency, and an elevated hookah experience, this is the standard.

From my family to yours, wishing you a happy, healthy, and prosperous holiday season.

I have been to many hookah lounges around queens and Long Island and this is by a long shot one of the best ones I have been to. The vibes and atmosphere are amazing and the employees know how to set up a hookah to get a lot of smoke not be harsh and last along time. The drinks hookah and food are cheep and totally worth the price. The hookahs themselves are very high quality. I highly recommend for any occasion

The customer service was nice. When you walk in it’s clean, the bathroom was okay they could do better. Their covid happy hour pricing was good, free appetizers for each hookah. The chicken tenders were a bit mushy. The French fries were stale. The hookah was a 3/5 for me personally. Partially because the hookah i smoke has to be a certain standard, the hookah died out quick even on a lotus head. The flavor wasn’t hitting like it usually does at other places for me. I was recommended some varieties so i did appreciate it. Their desi chai was delicious but the second chai was way more warm than the first one. The Nutella cake was good but not much of a Nutella taste, wished they didn’t drizzle the Hershey syrup all over. The fried Oreos with the ice cream were a 10/10!!! Def recommend you to try it if you’re in the neighborhood.
