We found this little gem conveniently located near Moti’s Market. We hadn’t planned to eat out, but my family was excited to see an Israeli restaurant. The food was excellent, and Alejandro’s service was awesome. We all raved about the food, especially the Israeli salad – even my wife, who normally dislikes tomatoes, loved it.

We recently held an engagement party at
Al Ha’esh, Raffi and his staff provided great service and great food. The servers were excellent and accommodated our guest to the highest of our expectations. The food was presented beautifully and the main course was served in large portions. The desserts were the perfect final touch for our event. We would recommend hosting events here as well as dining in.
Thank you Al Ha’esh for making our event special.

Food was excellent, and our waiter, Isaiah, was helpful, friendly, and a really nice fellow. We had the pargiot (young, dark meat boneless chicken) skewer and the super burger. Both excellent and generous with portions. I had to bring half my burger home and it was still excellent the day after. French fries and the rice were very good. One thing I did not like were the roasted vegetables side. It was scanty and heavily cauliflower, green beans, and some carrots. The seasoing was bit on the spicy side, but not too much. Seemed like from a frozen bag mix. No broccoli, zucchini, onion. Disappointing but the meal was truly enjoyable. Will certainly come again.

It was my first time eating here, and I’m not sure if they had a miscommunication on who was serving which table, or what… but it took 30 minutes for anyone to take our order. We arrived at 4 and left at 6 because it took so long for everything to come out.
They also didn’t bring us any pita while we waited. Some other tables took so long to recieve service that they just left.
I thought the food was fine, but my simbling’s rice came out cold. Additionally, while the hummus is labeled gluten free, they didn’t bring out gf options to dip in the hummus until we asked.
We also had to remind them about the drinks we ordered.
We wanted dessert, but we decided against ordering it because we worried it might take another hour.
The servers were nice, but it seems like the place may have just been disorganized?

Attractive, clean, comfortable restaurant serving Israeli inspired food. Lovely salads/dips. Great pita. Solid burgers and schnitzel. A great option for kosher food in this area.

The place is chaotic, and I was the only person there when I ordered. They were out of falafel which is what I really wanted with my schwarma. I subbed it with the grilled kabob combo, not only was the meat portion small compared to other kabobs in the area for the price even for a kosher restaurant, they were both some of the worst kabobs I have ever eaten. Flavor was nothing like an Israeli grilled kabob.
Schwarma is decent, but there is much better locally. (Max’s RIP was 10x better)
Hummus was good, I will give them that!

Stopped in for dinner a couple weeks ago on our way from NJ to VA. Second time here and its now our go-to for dinner whenever we’re in the area – was honestly surprised to find such a solid place “out of town”. Very nice and spacious restaurant, the prices are very reasonable and the food is excellent. Our waiter Isaac was very helpful and friendly. It’s not always available, but if they have the pita funnel cake dessert I recommend trying that – very unique item and delicious.

Great food! Place was packed with families so expect it to be loud. The atmosphere is simple, lots of tables and bar seating at the front of the restaurant. The mezze (appetizers) were great. Hummus was phenomenal, I typically do not like American style hummus. This was not that at all! It’s real hummus with choice of merguez meat. I had schnitzel and my dinner companion got 2 skewers of meat. They do have vegetarian options. I wish this place was closer to DC but it’s 100 percent worth the drive!

Sophia was an amazing waitress! She made sure to save me potatoes when they were running out last night. She’s so kind and caring. We will be back!
