A great place for fresh pasta dishes. We had lunch and the service was good and the food even better. They seem to be able to customize the menu and have many options. The popadelle Alfredo was amazing and my chicken parm was the best I’ve had in a long time. A bit too much sauce but really good. My sister had the vodka sauce was fantastic.
Very disappointed in the dessert items. Stick to the cupcakes. The pizza looked good, can’t wait to try it.

First shout out to our amazing server Lily she was so kind and helpful with the menu and our options! Second the food was PHENOMENAL, we all got pasta dishes, 3 of us did the build your own and the other got the chicken parm we loved everything we got! Will definitely come back again to try their pizza menu as well it all looked so good and also their homemade desserts!

While each pasta shape has a unique cooking time, just about every package instructs one to cook the noodles until they reach the “desired consistency”/“al dente.”
This phrase literally translates from Italian to mean “to the tooth.” It describes the texture of cooked pasta when it’s tender but firm and chewy when one bites into it.
Located on Center Avenue in Westwood, my colleague and I had the opportunity as first-timers at Al Dente Pasta Fresh Pasta Co. for lunch.
Upon entering their casual and friendly vibe, we were greeted by the staff and had the place to ourselves in their dining area with an open kitchen.
Their menu features a fantastic variety of appetizers, salads, pizzas, pastas, sandwiches, and desserts. The star of this establishment has to be the fresh homemade pasta dishes made from Caputo Semola flour imported straight from Italy, accompanying the amazing sauces, each crafted with care and creativity.
We decided on their Pasta Bar—Spicy Chili Vodka Cavatelli with Chicken Cutlet and Bolognese Pappardelle. Each came with fresh focaccia bread.
The food arrived, and one can taste the difference of freshness. It was absolutely delicious using the high-quality ingredients. The portion was just right as well as the price. Our server, Hunter, was friendly and accommodating. We even had a chance to make small talk with the owner; Joe connected next door at the sister location, Luciano’s, for pizza and garlic knots.
It’s Old World charm with a modern twist, and we can’t wait for a repeat performance.

We were around TJs and wanting a simple dinner- this place totally took our breath and tastebuds away. Freshly made pasta and en pointe sauces and great portions! We ordered 3 pastas, 1 salad and 1 starter. Wish I took pics of the venue and full menu but WOW, I no longer have to put up with pizza joint pastas and American Diner style sauces anymore!! What a God sent, go check this place out. Parking is free from 6pm onwards and I can only imagine how busy it is on the weekends!!
The tiramisu was so delicious (we make ourselves at home!) and it totally give the home-made indulgent, not too sweet and fluffy feel ❤️

I went to Al Dente this week for the first time with a few friends and we were so happy we went!
We started with the Rice Balls in a bolognese sauce and the Zucchini Panko with lemon aioli – and both were so delicious – so crunchy on the outside and yet tender on the inside! I had the JP’s Rigatoni which was so great- tender chicken and mushrooms in an incredibly flavorful sauce and the fresh pasta just melted in my mouth! We learned that they have a sister restaurant right next door that serves baked goods as well as pizza. So of course we couldn’t help but try some of the desserts – we had the NY Cheesecake, Dantes Chocolate cake and these amazing chocolate chip cookies – all so amazingly delicious!
In addition, the staff and servers were all very friendly and accommodating which topped off a great experience overall! We all agreed that we will definitely be back!!

This is my absolute favorite restaurant, and I make sure to visit whenever I’m craving incredible Italian food. I’ve been here countless times, and I am always more than satisfied with my meal!

What I love most is the variety of options they offer, which allows you to create your very own pasta dish. Being able to choose my type of fresh pasta and pair it with one of their delicious sauces makes every visit a new and exciting experience.

Can’t really speak for the Service or Atmosphere but it looked nice enough. I got the Vodka Rigatoni and Aribatata Penne. The pasta was overcooked, possibly due to sitting in a hot container, however a representative from the store reached out to make things right. We will come back to try again, thank you for your efforts!
Edit: waited for my cc statement to close before updating. Someone had reached out offering a 50% refund, due to one pasta dish being overcooked to mush. They never followed through with the refund so updating back
Edit 2: Addressing the response. While an apology was offered, the refund you mention has still not gone through, and the responsibility for that doesn’t fall on me. Suggesting that this was “out of your control” avoids addressing the actual issue.
Editing a review to clarify facts as the situation evolves isn’t unusual—especially when the problem remains unresolved. Being a small family business doesn’t exempt anyone from accountability, and I would have appreciated clearer communication rather than shifting blame.

Everything here was absolutely fantastic! This is not a sit down, waiter service place but the food is so good you’ll Fuhgeddaboudit! The fried zucchini is the best you will find anywhere. Perfectly crispy, crunchy and comes with delicious lemon aioli. Rice balls in bolognese sauce are perfectection. JP’s rigatoni was delicious with a marsala cream sauce and grilled chicken, mushrooms and caramelized onions. All the pasta is homemade. They serve your pasta in real dishes but cutlery is plastic and they have plastic wine cups for BYOB. If the plastic cutlery bothers you, bring your own cutlery and wine cups, as the homemade pasta is worth it! Don’t wait to try this place. You’ll never say basta for this pasta!
