I am extremely surprised as I’m coming here now to review this restaurant and seeing the subpar reviews. Our experience couldn’t have been further from some of the negative reviews. I have traveled and eaten all over the world and this was one of the best meals I’ve had. The Suckling Pig in particular was incredible! The roasted chicken, lamb, all of the appetizers, cocktails, everything was fantastic and 5 stars. Service and live music were also fantastic. And the vibes in the restaurant, decor, ambiance were all immaculate and wonderful. 10/10!

This restaurant was clearly the crowd favorite while in Cuba. The food and service were fabulous! The atmosphere is fun, and the entertainment was fun. We were told, by the wait staff that their grilled items were their specialty, so we tried the filet and New York steaks. The new York was served flambe… Wow! W tried several appetizers a well. The lobster casadillas were the favorite!

I found Al Carbon restaurant in the food and wine magazine and food network. I was impressed with being able to make reservations over WhatsApp. The hostess was on top of the entire experience. She checked in on us and made sure we had all of the things we needed. The appetizer, shredded beef over plantains, was amazing! The dinner, pork, had a great flavor on it but was a little dry. Food was definitely good but there were many restaurants that topped it.

Very nicely decorated restaurant. They have English menu, waitress speaks good English & helpful. We had dinner there on Sunday, it was very busy. They had live music. Food was ok overall, compared to price. Beef burger served on top of salads – lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, no bun. Asked for medium but it was well done & not juicy at all. Grilled fish was good, served with vegetables & potatoes. Beetroot croquettes were delicious. service was very slow. food price is higher compared to other restaurants (same quality) in this area. US$ exchange was 170 pesos.

Although this place is rather on a pricey end, I would say it is good value. We had several dishes and drinks, they were all of quality ingredients and presentation.

I am posting here this most unusual (weird) pizza I had in my life ever, it is kind of a Cuban picsa I would say (uncut and with an egg), and an interesting Cuban dessert (amazing). We had grilled fish fillets and other things that were very good.
