An absolute GEM of Italian dining in London – a completely unique and exquisite experience. No menu, just courses of pure joy and delight for your mouth with a beautiful dining experience with outstanding service and a warm welcome for all.
In a lifetime you will have a few meals that make it into your top 10 – and Al Boccon di’vino will certainly be one of them. Having dined at many Michelin’s this is still my favorite Italian restaurant in London. I came here before i had children and vowed to come again but their waitlist was always 2-3 months long.
Now I have children (two boys), and it was my eldest son’s 17th birthday – he is a complete foodie and loves to cook. At first, I was a little bit hesitant that my teenage boys would be able to sit down for all the courses but the staff were so welcoming, the service so wonderful, each course such an experience, my boys were in heaven. They saved every single course which I was so delighted with and everyone there made the night special for us! Thank you to the staff and team for another outstanding evening to remember – if you love Italian food, this is an absolute must!

A rustic setting decorated with old wines box lids adding to that feeling of authentic home cooking which you absolutely get.
Serving a mix of 6 or 7 beautifully enteres which are almost micheline standard.
The main was pork and roast potatos both times i went, good but could do with brocolli or green beans for a bit more balance as it is very rich and heavy unlike the other dishes.
Go its an experience and at 75 per person for a 3 hour tasting menu not unreasonable

My family and I visited this fabulous restaurant for my brother’s 22nd birthday and had a great time!
Reservations appear to be from 1900 onward, with most customers arriving at around that time. Each party is greeted and taken to their tables by the lovely staff members.
For drinks we had the house red which was delicious, £40 for the bottle, and for the food we had a seven course meal. Unfortunately I cannot remember every dish we had, but can recall how tasty and fantastic all the food was (apologies for the poor quality piglet photo). The staff were obviously passionate about the food they were serving and provided information on each dish brought to the table.
There’s also a wonderful buzz about this restaurant, everyone appeared to be having a wonderful time, which contributed wonderfully to the atmosphere. The only thing I would have liked would be some classic Italian music playing in the background.
Although this restaurant is expensive, we had a thoroughly enjoyable time here, ate some wonderful food and cannot wait to go back. I would highly recommend this establishment to everyone!

Second time visiting, so very atmospheric, so very welcoming, delicious food, I like that you have the menu of the day, no pressure choosing, you get it all!. Great choice of wine. it’s a shame we live so far away!

A small Italian restaurant where you can eat without the hassle of choosing your food from the menu 🙂 the tasting menu is prepped for you for the day. Each dish is served in nice portions and will definetely keep you satisfied, juat as you would expect from an Italian restaurant. Everything is nicely cooked and they were delicious. House Valpolicalla was also a delight. As it is a small restaurant you have to make sure you reserve. It is easy to get to from the Richmond Station. There is curb side or car park parking nearby as well. Definetely recommend it.

We went for the 3rd time for the lunch time serving. £80 per person but well worth every pound. The food was delicious, fresh and didn’t disappoint.
The waiters were polite. My only drawback is the manager. She’s very abrupt as she gave a rude gesture when we declined wine and asked for bottle water. The way she speaks to customers and the waiters is impolite and unprofessional.
She needs to retire as she’s been there for too long or she needs to improve her customer facing skills as she would be the one reason why I wouldn’t go back.

Always a fantastic and eccentric experience. Food lovely, service friendly… just go with the flow. No menus, get what comes and trust them with the wine recommendation. Not for vegetarians, but great otherwise. A night of just fun, good food and wine. If you are chilled, this is your place. Always reserve and never ever be late (they can lock you out).
