Nice lil spot, looks newly renovated. There is not much seating, but the area is clean. Mo homeless around. Service was good, friendly. Food, we just got the bean and cheese burritos one with red sauce one with out sauce. It was good with the red sauce, but i thinkit was so much better with out delicious comfort food. Yes they were a smaller size burrito but under $7 was a decent price. We also tried the french fries, they were ok. Very small portion. Will definitely be back to try some other things.

Beans were very watery! I’ve been here like 10 years ago and it was amazing. This time it was a pass. Not much flavor not sure if it was the bad cook back there. No hard feelings bit won’t be returning. Ordered a chicken burrito and there was no rice in it just water beans and chicken . Bummer trip man.

came here to try the “legendary” bean and cheese burrito i’ve heard about and i have to say that i don’t get the hype. in my opinion, this place is very overrated.
i got a bean and cheese burrito, an order of beef taquitos, and a side of chips. it took around 35 minutes to get my food after ordering and unfortunately, was not worth the wait.
i heard some other people say not to try anything else on the menu because it’s not good and i can at least partially vouch for that, as the beef taquitos were amongst the most bland thing i’ve eaten in recent memory. i mean, we’re talking worse than frozen taquitos.
the tortillas they use for the burritos are floury and delicious, but are not ideal for a good burrito eating experience — they’re so soft that holes pop open in them and cause the soupier beans to flow out. the burritos are too floppy, and i prefer something sturdier, personally. flavor wise, the beans were fine but hardly a thing of legend that i was expecting. the burritos are super tiny, too, so keep that in mind if you’re coming here hungry.
i tried the 2 sauces they offer on the side and will say that the green one is delicious, while the red is kind of whatever. neither were spicy to me.
service was nice. prices were reasonable.
overall, this place was fine but nothing here was standout enough to come back, especially considering how busy it is (why is it so busy??). not sad i tried it but definitely a one and done thing.

East Los CLASSIC. It sets the bar for what local Mexican food should be.. simple.. delicious… comfort. Not to mention the best bean rice and cheese burrito you will lay your hands on in this lifetime.

So I drove an hour and 41 minute to go and get a burrito from this place and it was everything that I remembered it would be the service was a little bit long. I waited 30 minutes for my burrito, but the taste of the burrito made it worth it make that drive. But the parking was a little bit horrible. So make sure you get there earliest.

First time trying out Al & Bea’s! I’ve heard so many people ranting and raving about this spot, plus I’ve seen a bunch of TikTok videos, so I had to check it out. I’ve been exploring different restaurants in LA, and this one definitely had delicious food—the flavor was on point. The beans might honestly be the best I’ve ever had.
That said, the portions were on the smaller side. I’m used to big, hearty burritos, and I usually leave LA spots with leftovers, but that wasn’t the case here. The chile rellenos were especially disappointing in size, even though the taste was spot on.
The area itself is really cool. I know some reviews mention parking being a struggle, but we actually got lucky and found a spot pretty quick. Overall, the food was flavorful and worth trying, but I just wish the portions were bigger.

Traveled all the way here from San Bernardino because of the reviews. And I also wanted to try my first authentic burrito that I wasn’t going to get from Taco Bell. I had the combination burrito and it was absolutely amazing. I also had some of the side salsa that they offer. I paid $8.50 for the burrito and it was gigantic and filling. I hope to visit again in the future.

Everyone is telling the truth about the BEAN AND CHEESE burrito! I ordered one with green sauce, and I should have ordered another with red sauce. I ordered green chili cheese fries and an “everything” taco, too.
The atmosphere in the small seating area is great because they are bumping oldies tunes! My burrito was exploded when I unwrapped it but that was no matter to me. That means it was packed to the gills, so I grabbed a fork and enjoyed it all the same.

My first time here, parking is hectic but finally after 20 minutes driving around found meters under the freeway. We ordered fairly quickly we were told the combination burrito was the most requested , so I got 3 a bean and cheese burrito always a must, taquitos and chili cheese fries . I guess I’m just not a fan of string fries the chili cheese not that great the bean and cheese burrito was ok and so was the taquitos was good but the guacamole wasn’t tasty seemed like store bought and waterer down. Maybe the 40 minute wait for the food wasn’t worth it on a Saturday.. I’ll just need to try it again on a different day.

Be patient! Its well worth the wait. Been coming here since the 80s. Consistently fresh, amazing tasting burritos. Got to try the combination.
