I ordered the Mixed Chicken & Meat Shawarma, Hummus, and Kenafa, and everything was absolutely delicious — perfectly seasoned, fresh, and full of flavor. The shawarma platter was generous, I had to take my platter home and share with my husband his. The hummus was creamy and smooth paired perfectly with the pita bread and the kenafa was the perfect sweet ending.
The service was excellent. Great ambiance. Our waiter was friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better.

Living in a city with a huge middle eastern food scene, Al Bawadi comes on top! We have gone multiple times and every single time we have walked out happy and satisfied with the food and service. The restaurant itself has a very authentic feel. Workers are dressed to impress (authentic appearal) and all unbelievably nice! All of our waiters have been amazing. But our favorite has been The super tall guy that has to kneel when taking orders lol. He’s been so awesome! Appetizer comes out super fresh. We usually get 2 while we wait! It consists of dried pita bread covered in zatar, tourshi, and an eggplant dip. So good! We love hummus so anytime we go to a middle eastern restaurant we order hummus. And this has to be one of the best we have had! The fresh bread makes it even better. The wife went with the falafel wrap and fatoush. She said it’s amazing! I ordered the combo plate that has chicken, ground beef kebabs, and lamb kebab. Rice is fresh and has almonds in it that give it a great crunch. My go to is always the keffta wrap it’s a must!! Kunefeh is made in house and to order. Comes out popping hot and is absolutely amazing! Cheese is hot and gooey. Just like it’s supposed to be! If you haven’t been to Al Bawadi then you need to go ASAP. 100% recommend!

Meat aryes for appetizer is just ok as it needs improvement. Bread is too crunchy and has very little meat inside.

The pic does NOT do this restaurant any justice. I’ve been coming to Al bawadi for almost 2 years now. The food is consistently immaculate. Literally everything on the menu. My favorites are the Kufta Kebab platter, lamb chops, Arayes w/ meat, wings, shrimps, and mint lemonade! Their pitas are also to die for.
Honestly, everything on the menu is phenomenal! This is the only middle eastern food I eat in the chicagoland area !!!

Great spot for a birthday dinner, we got the kebab platter and it was fresh, and tasty. The hummus, garlic sauce, bread were all good apps. Wish it was a little bit more spicier buts thats just personal preference.

We ordered the Chicken Toshka, Mixed Grill, Mixed Seafood Grill, and Chocolate Cake. The Chicken Toshka was flavorful and definitely the highlight of our meal. However, the grills all tasted quite similar, though the kebab was decent. The portion sizes, especially for the rice and meat, felt small for the price. Overall, the food was average — nothing particularly special except for the Toshka. The chocolate cake, on the other hand, was soft and delicious. Unfortunately, we didn’t enjoy the experience much and are unlikely to return

Unfortunately, my experience at this restaurant was very disappointing. The meat I was served was raw on the inside, and I didn’t notice it until after I had already finished the sauce.
The service was extremely rude and disrespectful, especially toward elderly customers. The staff member was shouting, throwing food onto the table as if pushing it away, and treating people with complete lack of respect.
I was sitting in the senior seating area because my mother and father were with me, not for any other reason. Despite that, I was treated poorly simply for being in that section, which is designated for seniors who receive free meals from the state.
When I asked for bread—something this place is supposedly known for—I was given the oldest, stale bread they had.
Food safety and basic human respect should never depend on where someone sits or their age. This experience was unacceptable, and I would not recommend this place.

Visited Al Bawadi Grill for their iftar buffet — honestly a mixed and slightly disappointing experience. The spread looked quite limited compared to expectations, and the food tasted a bit bland for my preference.
The most frustrating part was the very loud, ear-busting music playing right before iftar — it honestly felt unnecessary and took away from the peaceful vibe you expect at that time. Hoping they consider lowering the volume in the future.
Compared to the Bridgeview location, which has honestly never disappointed me, this visit just didn’t live up to the same standard.The place itself is nice, but overall the experience didn’t match the hype.
