My order of delicious baba ghanoush and creamy lentil soup served with freshly made flatbread came to less than $20.
Baba ghanoush a smoky, creamy Levantine dip made from roasted or charred eggplant, tahini, lemon juice, garlic, and olive oil. It is a rare find in the SouthSound, so I seize the opportunity and was not disappointed. It was delicious!
Within it’s niche as a street-side diner in gritty, downtown Tacoma, it definitely deserves five stars across the board.
The restaurant was empty. The atmosphere was inviting, bright and calming. The staff was quite friendly and accommodating.
We got the Deluxe Gyro Plate w/ Greek Fries for less than $30 you can’t really beat the prices! The food was delicious 10/10.
The service is friendly. It’s in a great place in Tacoma and comfortable seating and pleasant atmosphere.
My girlfriend bought the #1 gyro sandwich, and I got the lamb and beef gyro combo. My meat was cooked to perfection, and the fries and sauce were lovely! My partner happily devoured her’s!
Overall, the food was delicious. It felt like the subtle changes made to Americanize Mediterranean food were welcome, and helped to highlight the cuisine.
Before we left, we noticed Turkish coffee on the menu. We ordered some, and it was presented traditionally. It was INCREDIBLE!
My girlfriend was a barista for 2 years, and she developed a taste for straight espresso. She said it was some of the best coffee she’s had in her life. I usually like my coffee with cream, but I thought it was absolutely delicious with nothing added.
All and all, highly recommend.
Thank y’all!
Now, let’s talk about the food — absolutely delicious! The flavors were rich, fresh, and authentic, with generous portions that left us fully satisfied. The plates was packed with well-seasoned meat, perfectly cooked, and fluffy rice, complemented by smooth, flavorful hummus and a fresh salad topped with feta. Each bite was better than the last.
Overall, Al Bacha #2 offers a amazing taste of Mediterranean cuisine with top-notch service to match. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, this spot is definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended!
