We had an amazing experience ordering takeout from this African restaurant! We ordered the Tchep, puff puff, and egusi with beef, and everything was absolutely delicious. The flavors were rich and authentic, and the portions were generous. It wasn’t very spicy, but the taste was still fantastic and well balanced.

They even delivered to our hotel in downtown Denver, which made everything so convenient. Great food and great service, we highly recommend and would definitely order again!

I went when it was empty and found two people in the back. I asked if they were open and one looked at me and tapped the other person but the other person ignored me. I stood around waiting and a lady came out without saying anything and shoved a menu my way. I sat myself since I wasn’t told where to sit.

I waited a long time for someone to come to the table. When he came to the table I felt like I was inconveniencing them. I placed my order and it took him so long to bring a glass of water. I felt so uncomfortable being there with the way the server was making me feel like I shouldn’t be there.

When my food came out the meat was so hard I couldn’t cut or bite it. The soup was tasty but the meat was inedible. The spices at the table were so sticky in got stuff on my hands after touching it. I won’t be back. They really need to work on their customer service and not serve meat that you can’t cut with a knife.

The food was great! I tried the peanut butter soup and okra soup, both were flavorful and comforting. The service was great too! The gentleman upon entry took time to explain dishes from different African countries, which really helped me decide. If I’m ever in Colorado again I’ll definitely revisit!

I took my girlfriend to try African food for the first time together, this place is absolutely the right choice. My girlfriend got the palm butter soup with lamb and fufu, I got the grilled red snapper with joloff rice, we shared two of the pastels (meat pies) as an appetizer, and I had a ginger juice to drink for myself. Everything was absolutely delicious, easily some of my new favorite food. It was perfectly seasoned and cooked, they served me the entire red snapper which my girlfriend and I shared. I highly recommend, 11/10.

My boyfriend and I went to try African food for the first time and were not disappointed. Absolutely delicious food, heavily recommend the grilled red snapper and the pastels. My only note is service was a bit slow but with how delicious the food was, that’s a non issue. Wonderful experience.

This place is a must go in Denver – Aurora! The food is incredible, service was great, and atmosphere was fun! The gombo soup and Fufu(plantain) were the best combo I’ve ever had. But just in general really great food and service. Overall, just an amazing dining experience while visiting the area.

Although the food was delicious, the atmosphere was not pleasant.
Half of the restaurant was dark, so all I could see was my date’s silhouette. she’s very pretty, but I couldn’t see her because the restaurant was dark behind me but very bright hollagene lights behind her.
In addition, there were two TVs blasting different sound. One had a soccer game going and the other was Afrobeats. The competing sounds made conversation distracting. I’m willing to try the food again, but not if they doing chance the ambience.

We went for dinner on a Tuesday night and it was just our table and one other. It took a while for our food to come out, probably 30 minutes, but we really enjoyed the Pastel (meat pie); I could have just eaten those for dinner and would have been fine. The flavors inside of those little pies is simply incredible. My Grandpa & I got the Beef Kabob platter and our meat was really, really well done which we would have preferred a medium and even cook because the meat was really tough to chew and thus lost most of the flavor. The jollof rice was so tasty and again, I could have eaten just the rice and been fine. My husband ordered the lamb and wow, I only tasted a small piece but I’d get that if we went back because the seasoning was 10/10 and soooo tender. The plantains were also really good! So sweet and just the right amount of char. We really liked the Afro-Caribbean-Latin music being played as well! Really nice vibe.

We had a great experience. The customer service was great. The bathroom had a coded lock but could be opened from the front desk. Do feel free to ask any of the servers.

The food was tasty. The meat pie was great. I loved the filling. The “bofrot” was good. I also had the jollof rice, fried plantains, and chicken.
The ginger drink was very authentic and spicy. The spiciness does not last long though.
I’ll recommend this Ghanaian restaurant to anyone.
