Excellent chef. Ordered Dosa to represent South Indian, and Lahori Panner tikka to represent northern cuisine. They nailed both of them. Only feedback I would have is Mirchi bajji could’ve been hot – but the taste was amazing in all 3. Gulab Jamun was very soft and very hot making it a great experience. Thank you for maintaining amazing ambiance.

This place was absolutely phenomenal. The food was delicious, and come out very hot! The service was excellent, there was only one man serving all the tables while also getting the to-go orders at the front, and there was about 6 tables dining in. He was so very nice and made sure we had water at all times and even offered to get us extra rice if we needed. Overall the atmosphere is so cute and welcoming, and I am 100% coming back here, even if it’s take out!! Highly recommend!!!

Absolutely amazing experience here. Had the chicken biryani and as usual, the food was flavorful with the right amount of heat. You get a ton of food for the price. Service is friendly and prompt! I highly recommend the garlic naan!

Excellent food, comes with a bit of delayed service.

On a casual trip to Cleveland, picked up this spot that was near to our location and which serves dosa. Ordered Plain Dosa, Karam Podi Dosa (Dosa comes with Sambar, Peanut Chutney and Ginger Chutney) Chicken Biryani, and Chicken 65. While there is a delay in service due to only one serving person (who is doing everything, I felt sad for him), but later while we were almost done, one more person joined (probably its owner).

Forgot to mention about the nice sit out which is not seen in many of the Indian restaurants though. Gives a feeling of Desi Dhaba in modern building 🙂

Food was excellent and we loved it. Below is my rating,

Chicken Biryani – 4/5
Plain Dosa – 5/5
karam Podi Dosa a 5/5
Chicken 65 – 5/5

Service is on point when dining in. The atmosphere is casually classy from the seating and decor. The food is great! It is difficult to beat the flavor and spices in any their dishes. Their spicy levels do not dissapoint, which by my face looks like I would not be enjoying it but they are tears of burning hot happiness, I promise. If you don’t like spicy food so hot it burns your soul, make sure you tell them you do not want a higher spice level.
Their portion sizes are perfect for sharing or yourself if you are hungry.
I would highly recommend their Gobi appetizers (any of the three are going to be amazing), garlic naan, and Dahba style chicken as it was rich, complex, spicy with a hint of sweetness.
Overall it is definitely worth a visit.
(The only reason I dropped it a star on food is because I was surprised and saddened to not find Vindaloo on their menu.)

Here’s a concise and heartfelt review you can use:

Akshaya Patra provides excellent food and top-notch service! The quality and quantity of the food are perfect. A special mention to the kind lady who takes orders—yesterday, I arrived late for lunch, and although the restaurant had closed, she graciously allowed me and my friends to have our meal. Her generosity and understanding were truly heartwarming. God bless her and the entire team for their wonderful service! Highly recommended!

The best Indian restaurant in Cleveland. I had accidentally discovered this restaurant while looking for catering options for my wedding. The manager went above and beyond to deliver us the best food without any hassle. Everyone at the wedding were amazed by the yummy jackfruit biryani and Dhaba style paneer dish was mind blowing! Their apricot delight is a must have too. I highly recommend this place. Its not just the food, but the people as well that make this restaurant so special.

Stopped in for some lunch to go. Got home And discovered they had mixed up my order. It would be nice if the containers were marked as to what each one contains. Had lunch for four people at $80. After everyone figured out who’s was who’s we discovered one of the dishes ordered spicy was mild and one ordered mild was… You guessed it, spicy. Ordered three different types of naan only got 2. I’m not crossing it off the list, we’ll give it one more try.

We went for lunch on 12/10/25. Our appitizers were great the Chicken 65 tasted like a buffalo wing wihtout the bone. Was really good. I had the chicken Tikka Masala and some of the chicken was tough, I give it a solid 4/5 stars and would return

A friend of mine has been on the search for a great Indian restaurant in our general area and has been trying various restaurants over the past year or so.

She invited us to join her in her latest restaurant visit, Akshaya Patra. As soon as you walk in, the restaurant smells absolutely amazing. The blend of spices and smells in the air is wonderful. The menu is quite varied and it was hard narrowing down our choices. I, being a creature of habit, choose the chicken tika masala as it tends or be my test food at restaurants when I compare. Also ordered butter naan to go with the dish as well.

Food arrived fairly quickly, complimented by some very fragrant and tasty rice and the butter naan. Spice (heat level) wise, I can’t handle much beyond mild, so I was very appreciative of a mild, medium, and hot option for the dish. The mild was very flavorful without being “hot” and was excellently seasoned.

In general, our entire party was quite happy with their meals. There was a lot left over so many to-go containers were used by everyone for taking home.

Overall, it is absolutely a restaurant I would visit again to work my way through the menu. Indian food is not generally a go-to for me given my issue with spice (hot) so I have only had it a handful of times at various restaurants but from what I have had, this was my favorite for sure.

They do have an outdoor seating area that could be great on a warm (not cold winter like when we visited) night.
