This has been our new favorite Indian restaurant to go to. Food ingredients are fresh, food taste great, plenty of choices in their menu, price to portion is decent and service is very good.
We love their Aloo Tikka, Butter chicken and more.
Over all excellent experience and I recommend this place. Plus a lot of Indian people goes there to eat so I trust their authenticity.

Terrific place. They specialize in southern Indian cuisine, so some items you look for may not be there.
They open with two bottles of water and refillable chai. Menu is extensive. Lots of appetizers, mains– both veg and non-veg– and tandoori items.
We had a goat curry, shrimp pepper fry, and samosas. Everything was fabulous. I ordered medium hot and it was a bit too much for my companion who likes spicy food. Ordered a round of mango lassi to help her out.
Service was pleasant, conversant, and informative.
You should go. This place is fabulous. Go now.

We were looking for Indian food in the area and I’m so glad we found this place. The atmosphere is cozy and the menu has lots of options. We ordered garlic naan, chicken and lamb kurma — everything was delicious! We also had the veggie samosa as an appetizer, which was very tasty and not greasy at all.
Our server was extremely kind and friendly. Even before I asked, he brought me extra napkins, which I really appreciated. Great service and great food!

In a day when it’s nearly impossible to find a place where you get good food and good service Akshaya surpassed my expectations at both!!!! The scent that wafted out into the parking lot told me we were in for a treat! We asked our server for recommendations and he was happy to answer all of our questions and provide a few to choose from.
We started with masala tea, we ordered both chettinad curry and kurma curry both with shrimp (medium heat level) and an order of butter and garlic naan to soak it all up. He recommended the Gulab Jamun for dessert and it was a sweet treat that did not disappoint. I am very much looking forward to my next visit where I hope to expand my palate for their amazing meals. Thank you for such a great experience!

The Mysore Masala Dosa and the Ven Pongal tasted very good. Coconut chutney was awesome. Tomato chutney and sambar were ok. They offer lots of popular south and North Indian dishes as part of the menu. Should give this restaurant a try if you happen to be in the area

Ordered pickup, showed up a little early and was greeted with such hospitality. The host poured me a cup of tea and invited me to sit while I waited. I loved the feel of the space. Cozy, warm glow of lights.
I ordered vegetables samosas and they were absolutely delicious.

Everything–the service, the food was all impeccable! The food was so flavorful, the meat was so tender. My husband and I both had the goat leg soup, Aloo Tikki chat, and chicken Tandoori. The soup was like nothing we’ve tasted before, the chat was so flavorful, and the Tandoori was tender and perfectly spiced. We also had mocktails! Food was generously portioned and the waiter was so kind and happy to see us. Definitely a new go-to!

During our trip to VA Beach, was craving some Indian food and very glad we stopped by at Akshaya! The restaurant focus’s on South Indian cuisine and exactly what we were looking for. They also have North Indian dishes as well. Everything we ordered were scratch made, authentic and full of flavor. Owners Joseph & Jeena went out of the way to ensure we were taken care of and their hospitality is unmatched. Thank you so much for a great time.
