Went here in the early morning for breakfast, and it wasn’t too busy in the main seating area. This place has a sweet staff, nice decor, and delicious food that didn’t take much time to come out.
The hotcakes were huge, fluffy, and went really well with the warm syrup they serve on the side. Ordered extra bacon and it was totally worth it.

A very nice breakfast spot. It’s a family owned restaurant and you can see that they are putting in a lot of effort. Their menu is huge and they have one of the best cappuccinos. The hot chocolate here is good too. Service was decent and the place smells amazing. My husband ordered chicken n waffle and he loved it. We also got the veggie omelette and a burger from their lunch menu. Their biscuits and spicy gravy is too good to miss. We had a great experience and will definitely go back when we are in Akron.

We were sat by the freezing main entrance. Our food stayed nice and cold when it came out. Then they sat everyone else (regulars) who came in at the warmer seating elsewhere in the restaurant. The register person was not particularly friendly. Food was ok, until I got home. All down hill from there. Used to love this place. Never going back. Coffee sucks too. They can’t even use an Akron made brand. Its just some sucky junk from whatever crap food delivery service they use. Prices are a rip off. Charged almost $4 for a coffee/tea. Parking lot totally stinks. They won’t miss me, and I definitely won’t miss their establishment, good luck!

Haven’t been here in quite awhile, they revamped the place and it looks great. I had the mswiss burger lunch special with onion rings and it tasted good. Onion rings perfectly done and a good portion. Toffee cappuccino was sweet and delicious. Nice staff. Will be back more often.

I was going to order something anyway. The guy worker said, ” I had to pay by ordering food or drink just to use the bathroom.” First time anywhere that I heard of that. I had to use the bathroom really bad and I just came out of the snowy parking lot that I walked in. What happens if I did not have any money to order something. It felt very rude to me. I thanked him for the food that he gave me and he did not say your welcome.
The waitress seemed really nice. She gave me a refill to go even though she did not have to. That is why I rated Akron Family Restaurant with 2 stars. She is the reason why I left a decent tip.
I came here for the first time, but due to his rudeness I will not be back.

I’ve been here a couple times during the week and really liked it but when I came on the weekend it wasn’t as good. Food wasn’t hot or as well prepared. Maybe because they were a little busier. But it is pretty good when done right.

Service makes it 4 stars. Everyone was lovely and pleasant. Hopefully just an off day .. but the food was rather bland. Coffee was extremely weak with a weird taste as was the French toast. I couldn’t finish it and I love breakfast 🙁 but service was excellent.

Nice mom and pop restaurant with good prices and pretty decent food. The kids meals are a good size for the price. They even brought me honey for my coffee which was a treat since I don’t do cream or sugar. I will be returning next Friday to enjoy breakfast again!

First time there we would rate them a 5 . Serviced was great and breakfast was good . 2nd time being there we give them a 3 due to ordered breakfast half hour later 3 guys came in and within 5 minutes a couple came in . They ordered a lunch and was served theirs before we even got out breakfast . Another 15 minutes goes by and had to ask where our breakfast was and that’s when the waitress came out with ours . It was ice cold and mentioned to the waitress and told us she can throw in microwave . We didn’t order microwave dinner we ordered fresh . Contemplating whether to go back due to the first time we went was great but the second time was just unacceptable.

I was steanded with my child and wanted to use the bathroom, he made me buy a water (which I really didn’t need) just to use the bathroom. He also wanted to charge me for plane hot water to refresh my tea.
Some people don’t have ext ra money. If he was nice to me when I do get money I would have come back and spent it there!
Now I WOULD NEVER GO & EAT at his NASTY restaurant!
Rude owner is THE WORST for any RESTAURANT!!
