A wonderful and eclectic space, a friendly and wonderful staff, a great selection of books and I enjoyed a yummy caramel iced latte while reading in the cozy environment. They can also order any book in print if they don’t have it. Will definitely be back!

This is one of my favorite coffee shops. I followed them to the new location. I never feel rushed to hurry up and leave.
My favorite hot drink is Americano with cream and Chai tea on ice. The staff is kind and welcoming. And now they have a huge book selection at the bookstore.

Ordered an iced matcha latte (right) and an iced mocha (left). Neither drink was anywhere near correct. They were not busy and she took plenty of time to make our drinks and still couldn’t get it right. Don’t come here if you want what you ordered.

Have a delicious cappuccino while book shopping… because it is so relaxing. Great selection of children’s books and interesting and super rare book finds for adults. Candles and unique art collectibles. Highly recommended. Owners are friendly, educated and inviting. Definitely going back.

It’s a beautiful bookstore that has a small counter where they sell coffee. It has a small coffee menu. When I walked in and was pleasantly surprised at how beautiful the bookstore was, the employees just stared at me. I wasn’t welcomed. I wasn’t asked if it was my first time in, nothing. When I tried to ask a question, the person behind the desk was just short with me. I wasn’t thanked for buying the coffee or even stopping by. So I didn’t feel the need to walk around and purchase anything more than the coffee I came to get.
It’s a Shane because they were not busy at all. The guy behind the counter looked bored. So you would think they would be happy to have a customer come in and spend their money. All that to say and the coffee was just okay. LOL. Maybe just come for the books. They have a lot of books. I’m trying to find the positive in this review because I was so Disturbed by the bad customer service I received.
However, the location where the coffee shop is located is exquisite. It’s called Privi, And they have a gallery, sauna, juice bar as well as space to work, sit and chat. Very serene

Very warm and inviting atmosphere with excellent customer service. In addition to that the flavor of the coffee is the best I’ve ever had and they have great options! Pour overs, lattes, frappes etc. Highly recommend for a relaxing environment where you can read or get some work done and have a great coffee, or tea with light foods options.

On January 21st, two and half weeks ago I ordered two books from their website. This past Tuesday and Wednesday I emailed two separate email accounts associated with their site and store and have not received any follow up on my request to get a status update on if my books have even shipped or not. Called today and a guy there gave me a phone number to call with no voice mail set up so I have no idea who I even called. At this point I don’t even want the books from this company and it’s sad when this is the type of service you get when trying to support locally. Do better!

Love, Love, Love it!!! This black-owned gem is EVERYTHING!!! Fresh coffee, hot buttery croissants, & books!! What’s not to love!! It is quaint shop with great music and a definite African flair with amazing art and local made items to purchase! I ordered a latte made with Bali Natural. It’s a full bodied medium roast that was amazingly smooth and delicious!! I’m usually a dark roast drinker but this was everything!!! Oh and the Bombe Natural is delicious as well! You can really taste the blueberry and strawberry notes! It just has a natural sweetness. We even got a coffee lesson from the owner, Kaz!! He was so knowledgeable and friendly! Tay was too!! I walked away with a coffee lesson, free Juneteenth books for my grandsons, and future business prospects!!!

Came across this place while visiting the restaurant next door. This was my first time in the area. In my opinion this place should be a must go the reason for this is, they are truly happy to teach the young ones about their culture. While you shop there they give back to the youths in the neighborhood, this is why it needs to be a must go. Lots of books and beautiful copper jewelries with crystals @ a great price. I am truly bless to walk into this shop and find beautiful stuff to share with my friends and family. More so myself . They deserve more stars than 5. Oh yeah, they have shows that goes on as well.
