Recommend making it a combo to get the fries! Especially if you’re a fan of McDonalds fries… these are better !
Also loved the crunchy pickles since most fast food places have those soggy ones.
We got the Slider Combo in Mild (wasn’t spicy so recommend trying the Hot to get that whole experience! )
You could really tell this wasn’t fast food! Although they were fast at preparing our order.

Best Chicken Sandwich I’ve ever had. This is fresh, crisp, spicy, crunchy, tangy, and savory. You need to try this, there’s a heat for everybody! Popeye’s and Chikfila are no competition! Owner is very nice and he said sides will be coming!

It is a fusion of flavor, very unique combination of chicken, home made coleslaw …..the sauce was amazing. The robust and creative flavours are something u cant find anywhere. Ako Chicken has a very good chicken sandwich. In my opinion it’s up there with Popeye’s chicken sandwich. Ako chicken sandwich is huge. If you get fries ask for the sauce to deep them in. The sauce is good. I would recommend trying Ako chicken.

The service was wonderful and reviews were great so I was looking forward to the sandwich. But I was heavily disappointed. I got severe food poisoning from the food that i’m still recovering from, which I was shocked because that never happens to me. The food was also very bland even though I requested the 2nd highest spice level. I was excited to have found a new halal spot, but sadly won’t be coming here again.

Ako’s Halal Hot Chicken is now in Sugarland with a NEW item- Gorilla fries available in beef and chicken!
We enjoyed the Filipino style hot chicken gumminess and the NEW gorilla fries which had a fusion Flavor! We liked the hot and Xtra-hot flavors. We did not try the ‘It burns’!
Overall the flavors were definitely unique from other hot chicken places and we are so glad we tried it out! Definitely try both of their sauces as well as they are very yummy. The items are fully halal. Previously this truck was in Pearland and has a lot of fans coming over to check out the new location.

Pretty good chicken sandwich. I got the “hot” level of heat and it had just enough spice to it. The slaw is better than what I’ve had at most other hot chicken places. Overall, the sandwich is good but I do wish they offered side items like fries.

I recently visited the new Sugar Land location and the taste is as good as I remember, probably even better. It’s flavorful and so unique. I stick to the same order as always and it has never let me down. My favorite thing about Ako is that my stomach always feels happy afterwards

I liked my meal of tenders with fries and a drink with their black sauce and white sauce! My wife ordered a sandwich meal which was huge and she couldn’t finish it and I helped chuck it down and It was really good. I had little chat with the owners who were very friendly, keep up the good work guys!
