We’ve been going to Akita for over two years now- and it is consistently delicious every single time! This is not an easy feat for sushi! Now, if you’re just visiting the area, you need to realize most Florida restaurants reside in strip malls. Don’t be deceived! Akita has the typical ambiance of a sushi bar, booths and tables, and traditional music, and it doesn’t need to be any more than what it is since it’s all about the quality of sushi! Their fish is consistently fresh, well chilled and of generous portions. I almost always get the Sashimi dinner, and at lunch we’ve never been disappointed with their sushi or Tonkatsu. Their bento boxes are filling and delicious. Their staff is friendly and can answer any questions- and very down to earth. Probably my favorite and reliable sushi place in Ocala.

I had literally some of the best salmon Nigiri I have ever had. It was unbelievably fresh, and the rest of the sushi was definitely on point as well. The last time I had salmon that tasted that good was when I Pay $12 a piece for some salmon flown in from Japan at a certain sushi restaurant. I will definitely be back!!!

Great experience at Anita Sushi in Ocala! The sushi was fresh and delicious, the service was friendly, and the atmosphere was welcoming. Definitely a place I’d come back to and recommend.

We have been patrons of Akita’s for a very long time. I like the way they make their sushi rolls. It is one of the few places where you can get a salmon roll with spicy salmon. Chicken Katsu is always crispy and a favorite. And we definitely love their tempura (not shown).
