⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Family-Friendly, Fun, and Worth Every Penny
We recently visited Akita Hibachi in Fairfield with a group of 10, including four kids and two toddlers, and had an awesome experience from start to finish.
The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which immediately put us at ease, especially given the size of our group. I’ll be honest, at first we were a bit taken aback by the prices because we originally planned this as a quick, affordable lunch before starting our day. But that hesitation quickly disappeared once the experience began. It truly felt worth it.
They have a great variety of adult cocktails that were excellent, and the hot sake definitely added to the fun.
And speaking of fun, the hibachi entertainment did not disappoint. All the classic tricks and theatrics were there. The infamous beating heart fried rice, tossing food into your mouth, and even a little sake squirt for the adults who were up for it. It was engaging for everyone, especially the kids.
Our food selections ranged from the Dinner for Two with steak, lobster, and scallops, to a seafood platter, plus several kids meals. They didn’t skimp on portions or quality, even for the kids. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly.
What stood out the most was how attentive and understanding the staff was. At one point, we were actually considering packing it up and leaving due to our initial hesitation, and they were completely gracious about it. No attitude, no pressure. Just patience and professionalism. They consistently checked on us to make sure we were having a good time.
To top it off, they gave parting gifts to the kids, which was such a thoughtful touch.
Overall, Akita delivered great food, great entertainment, and great service. It turned into a memorable family experience, and we can’t wait to go back.

It was amazing, I had a party for 7 in the middle of a snowstorm. They were so kind and accommodating with the situation. The chef was amazing and so entertaining. All my guests were very happy and very full from the wonderful food. I highly recommend coming here for good food, service and fun memories.

We were there with a large party (about 17 of us) to celebrate our adoption day and Dawn was phenomenal at paying attention to every detail and making sure everyone was well taken care of. The staff was super attentive and we had everything we needed before we could even ask. As a mixed party of meat eaters and vegetarians cross contamination was a big concern and they were very careful and attentive, made the night a great experience.

DO NOT GO HERE. Waited an hour and a half for the chef to come to our table, the waitresses were rude and hostile, even with costumers who were nicer about waiting. The food was TERRIBLE, the chicken had NO flavor, and the portions were so small. I will NEVER go back here. Oh yeah and they forgot my white rice but had the nerve to charge us gratuity!

I love visiting Hibachi places because of the experience with your chef. The chef here was great. Ambience, place and quality of the food was ok. Everything looks older so your experience here might depend on your standards… but it’s definitely ok.
