My fav was the Akira special roll oh ma gawd it was so good and packed with scallops, topped with salmon and drizzled with spicy mayo. I would go back just for that special roll The rainbow roll was good, the fish on top were all super fresh and tasty. Also got a torched salmon roll yum but we thought it was gonna be a special roll because we were looking at the google image of the menu instead of the skip the dishes menu online and it turned out to be just a regular roll oops don’t always trust google menu pics! But the sushi was legit so yummy and service was great!! I highly recommend this spot

Was driving from Ottawa to Toronto and decided to randomly stop for sushi. Found this place on google and decided to give it a try. Food was absolutely amazing, fish was fresh, tempera wasn’t greasy. Our waitress was absolutely delightful and very helpful when it came to answering questions about the menu. Would definitely drive back just for this place!!

I recently visited **Akira Japanese Restaurant** for the second time, and it was just as fantastic as the first. The sushi slices are impressively large and incredibly fresh, setting them apart from other places.
The **Kamikaze sushi rolls** are a must-try—delicious and bursting with flavor. We also ordered the **Love Boat**, which featured sashimi that melted in my mouth. One of the best takoyaki in town!
Overall, Akira consistently delivers high-quality sushi in a welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Been here few times. The sushi quality is good and consistant. Decently priced sushi. Was kinda scared with online prices but when dined in its cheaper then online prices. Staff are friendly and good service.
This time we tried having lunch and the the lunch combos are a steal. Had lunch combo c, spider roll and spicy salmon. Me and wife shared and was good lunch for under 50. Not bad for good sushi.

This place is wonderful. The food is ALWAYS fresh, the most important part about sushi. Love that it’s locally owned. My one piece of feedback is the restaurant does not play background music so it’s a little too quiet for dine in compared to what you might be used to.

Nice sushi place. The restraunt is spacious with nice but simplistic decorarions. They have a large variety of options (sushi and other) and the rolls are presented very nicely. The food is slightly overpriced for the amount of fish you get (thin slices) but the lunch specials offer the best value.
