The food was great … until I went to add the broth to my Ramen dinner and I was so shocked and sad to find a fruit fly trapped in the container. If it was on the outside of the container I wouldn’t have minded but the fly was enclosed into the broth. It stopped me from eating the rest of my food which was fine up until that point. I just wish they were a little more diligent about keeping these things from happening and it makes me second guess coming back.

Let me paint you a picture.
It’s drizzling. You’re cold. You’re hungry. You turn a corner and BAM—there it is. A bold red trailer glowing like a beacon of culinary salvation. You approach cautiously… and then leave reborn.
Welcome to Akira Ramen & Bowl.
Where every bite feels like your taste buds just got knighted.
THE FOOD? Tempura Shrimp; Golden. Glorious. Crunchier than your ex’s excuses. These aren’t your average fried shrimp, these are tempura titans. You can taste the fresh oil. You can hear the crisp. It’s the kind of fry job that makes angels weep. No sogginess. No grease puddles. Just full-on fried perfection.
Then we got the Ramen Bowl from the Gods;
One look and you know, this ain’t no sad cup ramen. This is broth that’s been simmering with secrets. Creamy, soulful, and rich like it came with a trust fund. Tofu so crisp it might file taxes. Charred corn that adds a kiss of smoke. Black mushrooms and green onions coming together in a bowl of full-blown harmony. This bowl didn’t just warm me up, it gave me closure
AND THE CONTAINERS?!
Can we talk about the to-go packaging? Because these folks didn’t hand us some flimsy plastic clamshells that buckle under broth weight. No. These are premium, reusable, borderline-luxury Tupperware-grade containers. You know the kind your grandma would fight you over at Thanksgiving. They seal tight, stay hot, and lowkey make you want to meal prep just to show them off. I brought ramen home and felt like I was holding a briefcase full of flavor gold.
THE OVERALL EXPERIENCE: Efficient service. Super chill vibe. The team inside that truck? Culinary assassins. Kind ones. You can tell they care. Everything’s made fresh, clean, and with love. No shortcuts. No slop. Just absolute FIRE!
OFFICIAL ARCANUMS RATING: 69 OUT OF 10.
That’s right. They broke the scale. Because Akira Ramen & Bowl isn’t just a food truck, it’s a damn pilgrimage. Worth the drive. Worth the rain. Worth every single bite. Come for the ramen. Stay for the containers. Leave with a full heart and a fridge full of leftovers in the nicest to-go box you’ve ever seen. Akira Ramen & Bowl! Where even the packaging slaps.

My husband and I got romen last night for the first time there. Hands down it was amazing. The price was perfect you get what you pay for. The first bit we took was out of this world. My husband got the miso and I got the curry . He loved the miso. I tried some of his the miso was good. And I don’t like miso but that made me like it. It was not to salty but it was perfect. The curry romen I got was delicious. My mind felt like I was dreaming I never had something that tasted that good.

Akira Ramen is a food truck but has some of the best ramen I’ve ever had. The meat in the ramen could be better but the broth is incredible. I usually get the Black Garlic Tonkotsu Ramen and I LOVE it.
Also, the people that work there are so kind 🙂

I got the black garlic ramen with the thin noodles and medium spice. The food was absolutely delicious and my favorite aspect was the broth, very good umami flavor and very creamy. The broth was conveniently given in a separate container to add later to the noodles and toppings. I’m never sure how to go with the spice level but medium was very accessible. I’m guessing mild is no spice and medium is a mild spice. Definitely going to come back with my husband, it hit the spot today for sure.

Tried the Classic ramen with thick noodles, medium spice. Absolutely delicious. Perfect for rainy day slurping in my car. Pork broth is rich, umami, and cooked 12 hrs, and comes in a separate container so you can wait until you get home to add to the noodles (I dare you to try). The pork chasu is a wide thin cut and perfectly cooked with delicious sear. Noodles clumped together then softened after adding the broth, good texture. The soft boiled tea egg is also delicious.

I ordered takeout from this restaurant due to unpredictable weather and supposedly a conference at my hotel. The food arrived very quickly vía GrubHub. I ordered their curry ramen. It was so delicious and very filling. The restaurant offers a choice between thin or thick noodles and different spice level. I ordered the spicy level but it wasnt spicey enough. My spice tolerance is very high. I do recommend coming here again in the future.

Cute food truck with plenty of outdoor seating available. They have one vegetarian soup option which can be made VEGAN, BUT you have to use the buckwheat noodles as the typical noodles are egg based. I was NOT a fan of the buckwheat noodles, but the rest was delicious. However, the noodles are most of the the substance of the soup. I wish they would offer a rice based noodle and CLEARLY label a vegan option.
