My wife and I consistently come to Akira for lunch and the experience is always top-notch. Super fresh food made well, great sushi and shashimi, and extremely courteous and prompt service. There’s a beautiful koy pond in the dining room and the seating is comfortable. I have no complaints at all. If you haven’t been here yet, make the trip. Just don’t all start showing up at lunch time…I like that I usually dont wait for a table 😉

Mainly comparing this to the Akira in Voorhees. The sushi pizza there was better than this one. The sushi pizza crust (scallion pizza) was a little soft/soggy and not crispy as the one in Voorhees. Which really makes the whole thing.

The food here is always amazing! Everything is so fresh and delicious. Usually I do the Hibachi thing, but I have ordered off of the regular menu too and it’s very good as well. It’s a byob but they do serve sake’. The only thing that I think they can improve on is their dessert selection because it’s very limited. So for that reason I’m giving them 4.5 out of 5 stars.

Hibachi grill experience, chef had the flip, flare and humor. Flaming onion volcano to close out the show. Service was great, staff was attentive. Pretty koi pond in the back, my daughter loved it. Food was excellent, hibachi filet, sea bass, salmon, shrimp. Wait time was 0, was sat right away. We got there around 6pm on a Thursday. Would return.

Great service and staff, kid friendly (although look at kids menu before you go), and delicious sushi every time. Flyers, Fantasic, and Samurai Rolls are our faves. They also have a hibachi section in the back, but haven’t tried that out yet personally.

This is the 1st time my wife and I have diner at Akira II since the COVID pandemic began. Last summer there was only takeout and extremely limited number of sidewalk dinging tables. So it was a great joy to return to our favorite Japanese cuisine restaurant, located in scenic downtown Moorestown, NJ. Well felt safe dining in because the seating was well-spaced.
