I’ve tried a lot of 2nd rate sushi places, but this is one of the worst I’ve ever been to. The place is very dirty upon entry and most all of the tables had old plates with eaten food on them. We were the only customers at the restaurant. A young child greeted and seated us. There were 3 different random menus to choose from. We ordered hibachi and sushi. The steak hibachi was completely inedible and full of gristle. My daughter’s miso soup was oddly fishy (Not from dashi, but just a very sour odd taste) I believe the paste was expired. I had 2 sushi rolls that were extremely lackluster. I almost fell out of my chair when trying to use the wasabi. First, it was a dark emerald green color and appeared dryed out. It fell apart like my kids kenetic sand. When I put it in my mouth, it had a dry crunch to it. Thankfully the sushi didn’t have a fishy taste, but it was definitely not up to par. This place makes Red Bowl look like a Michelin Star restaurant. The service was acceptable, although if child services discovers that they have children working the joint, there may be some DSS involvement.

I lost the pics I tool but next time I visit I will be getting some! The employees ate always so nice, and if you don’t quite understand them they don’t have a rude attitude like some other restaurants! They allow you to pick where you want to sort if it isn’t too crowded… They always greet you with a smile and have some of the best offers and prices comparable in town! -Ive gotten a lot worse food from other places less than a mile away for more money!!

Had the edamame and egg rolls for an appetizer.. they were delicious! Ordered 4 different sushi rolls (some cooked, some raw) and we loved all 4 of them! Great little find; can’t wait to go back and try the hibachi!!!

This is the only go to in town since I’ve been here. After many visits, I’ve never had a bad or disappointing experience which is saying alot these days!☺️ I first went here with family at least 6 or 7 yrs ago & the hibachi was great! Now living here, this is my fave place in town & the sushi is SO good! The fried sushi rolls are a must! Its always a party in your mouth! Good job akina!

When I visit Akina I get the hibachi chicken but one time I called in my order over the phone and one reason or another I received the teriyaki chicken instead. I appreciate how Akina replaced my food with no hesitation and it was made fresh per usual as always when I want there hibachi chicken combo.

Wow. This is an amazing example of great tasting fresh food. Outstanding waiter eager to please. I’ll try to spell his name, Hang”. Forgive me if I got it wrong. Give this place a chance. Did wife’s birthday and he offered dessert on the house. Needless to say he deserved more than a 25% tip which I gladly did. Enjoy and watch for my future restaurant reviews.

This place is awful. Theres no ac. They give you a small amount of food which is way over priced. My steak was overcooked when i asked for medium rare. The young boy smarted off at me twice. Ill never go back there or recommend.

I love it here. The cutest kid helps seat you and get you drinks! The sushi is super good and i love the mushroom soup! Everything we have ordered here has been perfect! Great hibachi steak and broccoli. Will definitely go back here time and time again!!
